Vacation Rental Description
A Victorian Merchant's house in the centre of Cobh (formerly Queenstown). Cobh is located in the centre of Cork Harbour, less than 35 minutes drive from Cork Airport (29 km) and 25 minutes from the Centre of Cork City (23 km). It has all the amenities for a self catering holiday within walking distance, including a supermarket, bakery, off-license, restaurants and pubs. 
 
The accomodation is arranged over the upper 3 floors of this property. The living accomodation is on the first floor. There is a beautifully proportioned reception room and a dining room which seats 10. Both are comfortable South facing rooms with harbour views. The kitchen is a fully equipped with a range style gas cooker, american fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave etc. There is also a breakfast room, a cloakroom and a laundry room with 20lb capacity washing and drying machines. 
 
There are 5 bedrooms (one king and four twin), all en-suite, with showers (2 have bathtubs) on the second and third floors. Four of the bedrooms have harbour views. 
 
The garden at the rear is approx 30m deep and is arranged over three terraces into the hill. It is a suntrap all day. The highest terrace is a deck with garden furniture, ideal for an al fresco meal or a sundowner. 
 
4 Star rating from Failte Ireland. 
 
Non Smoking House and no Pets allowed. 
 
Minimum rental 3 days. 
 
Less than 40 minutes drive from the Swansea/Cork Car Ferry terminal.

    • There are several 18 hole Golf courses within a few minutes drive, including the Fota Island and Little Island, both of which have hosted the Irish Open. 
     
    There are several shingle beaches within a few minutes of Cobh. The best beach within a 35 minute drive is Garryvoe. This is a long sandy beach facing Ballycotton lighthouse, perfect for a family summer day out or a brisk walk in all seasons. 
     
    Sea fishing trips can be arranged with pick up from local pier.

    Payment 1. Where the booking is received more than 50 days prior to the commencement of the Rental, 20% of the Rental. Bookings made within 50 days of the commencement of a Rental shall be subject to the payment of the full amount of the Rental at the time of booking. 2. All sums due in respect of bookings must be paid for in full not later than 50 days prior to the commencement of the booking. 3. If any sum is not paid by that date, the Owner shall have the option to cancel the booking. 4. Cancellations made more than 50 days prior to commencement of a booking shall be subject to forfeiture of the rental deposit and any other expenses arising. 5. Cancellations made 50 days or less than 50 days prior to commencement of a booking shall be subject to a charge of the total amount of the Rental. 6. Rates are as stated there are no hidden extras for fuel, cleaning, linen etc. 7. See our website for rates for shorter stays.
