    • Labasheeda is a very beautiful village, 22 miles west of Ennis, on the banks of the Shannon Estuary across the river from County Limerick. Beyond are the rolling hills of West Clare, with many quiet country lanes - ideal for walking and bicycling! The Shannon offers plenty of possibilities for shore angling. Labasheeda has a new pier with a fine picnic area and boat mooring installations. The sights of West Clare, the Cliffs of Moher,the Atlantic beaches of Kilkee and Doonbeg,Ennis with its shopping areas as the historic market town Kilrush are in easy driving distance (20-30 minutes).
    Kilrush has a fine marina and an adventure centre offering all kind of activities. The Killimer Shannon Car Ferry is just 15 minutes away making it easy to explore the neighbouring counties of Limerick and Kerry.
    The village itself has a small pub and shop, a church and a community centre. The Locals are very warm & friendly!

    We rented this wonderful house a few years ago, for a month in the late fall, and we had such a memorable time! We had different friends and family visit each week, and we were on the go to all the nearby attractions every day.The location was so gorgeous. The weather was also great! It was perfect, and the owners were friendly and helpful, and we'd highly recommend this schoolhouse home!
