Corofin is famous for its many music festivals, and is located on the River Fergus with a good selection of shops, pubs and cafes. This delightful village is also within easy reach of the visitor centre at Dysert O' Dea and the Clare Heritage Centre in St. Catherine's Church. The 15th century round tower and renovated castle includes a fascinating museum and tearoom. Hill walking and cycling opportunities abound in the surrounding area, and golfing enthusiasts can play a relaxing round on the course at the seaside resort of Lahinch. The lovely harbour town of Kinvarra is just seven miles away, and is well known for its annual summer "gathering of the boats" festival. Other wonderful visitor attractions in this delightful region include fishing on the River Fergus and the area’s 12 lakes; the striking Cliffs of Moher; Aran Islands trips and Bunratty Castle.
