Vacation Rental Description
Knight Cottage is an old traditional Hungarian worker's cottage. It was built in 1931 and has recently been renovated and modernised in keeping with its past using original furniture and decorations. It is ideal for a relaxing in a quiet village atmosphere and is also a great base for a family holiday. The cottage is on one level with wooden beamed ceiling and white walls. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen diner, a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower and WC and a large living room with a wood burning fire and a bed settee. We can provide extra beds for children and a cot for babies. 
Outside there is covered parking for 1 car and a secure drive for another. The large back terrace faces the garden which is fully fenced so it is safe for children and pets to run around. There is a stone BBQ for outdoor cooking. For the children there is large wooden climbing frame with a slide. We have a hammock, a hanging chair and several chairs and sun loungers in the garden. 
There are fruit trees such as cherry, apple, plumb and pear as well as strawberries, blueberries and red currants. In the vegetable garden you can pick your own organic carrots, onions, peas, green beans, tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers. So please help yourself to whatever is ripe. 
We provide bed linen, towels and kitchen cloths. 
There is a satellite dish so some free to air UK channels are available.

    • Knight Cottage is located in the Northern Mountains of Hungary in the small village of Bodony. The Cottage has been renovated and decorated in the traditional style but still has all the modern comforts. It has a large secure garden with a climbing frame with slide for children, a large, covered back terrace with table and chairs and a BBQ. There is a vegetable garden and fruit trees for our guests to have whatever is ripe. We have hammocks, sun loungers some games, cards and sports equipment such as badminton rackets in the cottage. We provide bed linen and towels as well.

    • Other activities available in the area are: hot air balloon flights, motorised tandem para gliding, quad biking, mountain bob, horse drawn carriage rides. The area is is rich in natural hot springs so you can visit one of the thermal spas, have a massage and reflexology treatment. 
    We can organise several sightseeing excursions to nearby towns and villages. 
    Bodony is at the edge of a large National Park which is rich in wildlife and is ideal for walking and going on nature trails (guided or unguided) as well as for bird watching.

    Season Rate
    		  Low Season Price: £180 per Week
      High Season Price: £225 per Week
         

    The rental cost is £225 per week for the whole cottage. We do not have set arrival and departure days or maximum stay. Our minimum stay is 2 nights. 25% deposit is payable at time of booking and the balance is due 4 weeks before your arrival date. If you cancel more than 4 weeks before your arrival you only loose your deposit. If you cancel less than 4 weeks before your arrival we will refund 50% of the total. If we have to cancel for any reason we will give you a full refund. We can accept cheques or direct bank transfers as payment if you pay in sterling. If you pay in any other currency we can only accept direct bank transfers.

    Knight Cottage which is situated in a small, quiet village in the northern mountains of Hungary is an ideal base for a relaxing holiday. If you would like to get away from it all, like the closeness of nature and the outdoors and like to relax in your own space this is the place for you. We have renovated and furnished it to keep its charming traditional character and have also added the essentail mod-cons for your comfort.
    Should you wish to be more active and look around the area on your holiday then the cottage provides a pleasant base from which you can discover this beautiful part of Hungary. In the surrounding forests you can walk, bird watch, horse ride, quad bike and fish in the lakes. You can try tandem paragliding, hot air balloon rides, visit the thermal baths and great lidos, go sightseeing in the baroque town of Eger and have fun at the Matra mountain bob and adrenalin park.
    In the summer there are many festivals and shows which make your holiday even more colouful and give an insite into local folklore nd traditions.
    There are several restaurants in the area with good traditional food and the prices are very reasonable.
    There really is something for everyone!
