3 Bedroom House in Aegina

Our house is a new house made in the old way!
However, the whole house is air-conditioned/heated! There is an awning front porch and patio gives you the space relax/ sun your self/ use the Jacuzzi. Additionally the porch allows you to have a wonderfull BBQ or have a dinner party outside. Alternatively, you may entertain yourselves or your guests inside.There are 4 chairs in the round dining table inside & 4 outside around the large outside patio table.

The house has the amenities to make your stay easy.Two bedrooms & the studio comfortably sleeps 7 people (or 2 families.) With the foldin bed it is 8! There is a studio that sleeps 3 an additional people. It has a kitchenette & bath. Please remember the studio has a porch, but because it is at the end of our drive & under the house, it doesn’t have a view. However, the family in the studio, usually spends their waking time out; or in the main house!

The house is built on a hill to Mount Oras. From the front steps of our house, it is only a 2 block walk to swim in the sea; AND enjoy one of the best (waterfront) restaurants on the island!1 mile south is an old fishing village, Perdica. The other close village is Marathonas(the old beach resort.) It is just 1 1/2 mile north.Both of these close villages have grocery stores;10 restaurants each.) 5 Miles north of our home, is the original port at the city of Aegina (the first capital of greece.) It is one of the beautifull ports in all of Greece. Island population:30,000.Aegina is the closest 'beach' island to Athens. It has 30 different beaches! It is mountainous, with narrow roads.You could spend weeks seeing the many sights of the island of Aegina.

The 4 person Jacuzzi is usable year round. You can adjust the temperature; however the cover needs to be on when not being used! The Jacuzzi outside is heated in the winter. It is on the fount patio where kids can be seen from the living area. Also, it is reasonably secluded. In the summer, it is at room temperature (unless you ask to have it heated.)

We have #2 20 speed bikes and #2 folding bikes. The 2 seaside village (Perdica &Marathonas) are 3/4-1 1/2 mi. Bikes are great, but some of the steep hills make this difficult.
With its 20 mile proximity to Athens, the island has ferries every 1-2 hours to allow daily trips to Athens...or other islands. However, in winter the last ferry leaves from Athens at 7 pm. Ferry trips to & from Athens occur almost hourly (to its primary port in Piraeus). Day trips are + plus
The Train starts at the port/ taking you to old Athens; where you can walk to almost all of the sights. Taxis are cheap in Greece. Remember, a short train ride takes you to museums, Parthenon and most of the old sights. Our perception is live in Aegina..see Athens..& come back to Aegina at night..for its old quiet ways & peaceful existence!

Bedroom Notes
2 bedrooms on the top level with a proper bathroom & laundry facility (washer/dryer/ironing & board). In each, you will see the sea when you wake up, and dusk you will see the sunset. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed and has its own balcony to relax. The other bedroom has a queen-sized bed.
But both have a beautiful view of the sea and the distant Islands and mountains!
If there are 8 in your party; there is a fold out bed (for 1 person) in the closet of the living area. THE main house SLEEPS 4 PEOPLE COMFORTABLY(+1 more with folding bed). FOR GREATER THAN THIS THE SEPARATE
STUDIO THAT SLEEPS 3 PEOPLE IS PART OF THE HOUSE.

If the studio is not necessary, a REDUCTION OF THE RATE is explained in the pricing area. The studio does not have the view of the mountains or the sea. However it has it's own kitchenette, proper bathroom. Additionally, it has a small screened porch and it's own laundry facilities/proper desk, and fax; This alternative is nice if one wants an office area. Wireless internet is available thru out the house/studio
