Welcome to Apartment at Villa LemoniEnjoy a well-deserved holiday on the stunning Greek island of Zakynthos. Stay in this very well appointed, self-contained, self-catering, ground floor apartment in a beautiful owner-occupied villa in the traditional Greek village of Lithakia with views to the sea, Marathonisi Island and the National Marine Park of Zakynthos. Finished and furnished with great care and to a very high standard the apartment has all modern amenities and comforts.There is something close by for everyone and you will never forget the beautiful blue waters and stunning scenery.

A complimentary Welcome Pack is provided comprising a bottle of local wine, two bottles of Mythos beer, an initial supply of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, jam, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and toilet paper.
The spacious apartment is best suited to couples but is comfortably large enough for 2 adults and 1 child having one bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, an open plan living/dining room, a kitchen, shared veranda with table and chairs, parking space and shared garden. There is an extra full size folding bed. The apartment is fully air-conditioned.
Zakynthos (Zante), the southernmost and third largest of the Ionian Islands has a varied terrain, with fertile plains in the south-east and mountainous terrain with steep cliffs along the coasts on the west. The mild, Mediterranean climate and the plentiful winter rainfall accounts for the island’s dense vegetation.
The island was named Fiore di Levante by its Venetian rulers meaning Flower of the East because of its exceptional beauty.
Zakynthos enjoys over 300 days of sun a year. The summers are hot and dry, often with a cooling breeze. Winters are short and mild with most rainfall between December and February but even during this time there are many days with cloudless skies.
The apartment is located in a quiet village setting at the foot of the mountains that rise above Lithakia.
The airport is 9.5km (6mls), the port and city of Zakynthos are 10km (6.25mls) and the nearest beach, Agios Sostis, is 2 km (1.25mls).
The village has not been spoilt by tourism and remains traditional, quiet and relaxing. The springs at the top of the village are renowned throughout the island for the purity and quality of the water.
The nearest beaches are at Agios Sostis, Porto Koukla, Kaminia, Keri and Kalamaki. There are several excellent traditional, friendly, family run restaurants with excellent local food and wine very close by.
Facilities
The apartment is approximately 40m2 and has one bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, an open plan living/dining room, a kitchen, shared veranda with table and chairs, parking space and shared garden. There is an extra full size folding bed. The apartment is fully air-conditioned with individual units operated by remote control. Windows have shutters and fly screens. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker/extractor, microwave oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster and kettle. A washing machine, iron, ironing board, clothes dryer and hairdryer are also supplied. Linen and towels are provided. A Welcome Pack is provided comprising a bottle of local wine, two bottles of Mythos beer, an initial supply of tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread, butter, jam, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and toilet paper.
Activities
There is something for everybody close by.
Enjoy the night life, tour the island, enjoy one of the many cruises around the island, shop or stroll in Zakynthos town, learn to sail, try diving, enjoy the many water sports, go fishing go cycling, go hiking, go horse riding or simply relax on one of the many beautiful beaches.
There are also a number of eco-tourist activities including a superb Catamaran Cruise in the Caretta-Caretta (Loggerhead) turtle habitat of Laganas Bay.
The main square of Lithakia with its well stocked supermarket full of local produce, mini-market, café and public phone is less than 100m away. A bakery is 500m and Café Relax snack bar, Dennis Taverna which serves excellent local food all year round, Freddo's Café, a post office, another public phone, pharmacy and petrol station are less than 700m.
Take the time to enjoy the island you will never forget the beautiful turquoise waters and stunning scenery.

- Travel Info: Getting there... - By Plane - Low-cost airline easyJet has extended its schedule of direct flights from London Gatwick to Zakynthos with flights now available from 27th March 2011. For details visit www.easyJet.com During the summer months, May to October, very many international charter flights link Zakynthos directly to many airports throughout the UK and Europe . Aternatively, you can collect a car at the airport from one of the many car rentals companies with offices on the island. Zakynthos is also accessible all year round via scheduled flights from Athens with Olympic Airlines. Flights take 45 minutes. - By Coach/Ferry - Coaches run daily between Zakynthos and Athens (286km 178 miles). The road trip takes around 4 hours. The ferry crossing from Zakynthos to the port of Killini in mainland Greece lasts 1 hour. - By Car - If you travel by car you can reach Zakynthos via ferry from Italy to Patras. From Patras to the port of Killini is a 1 hour drive and from Killini to Zakynthos is 1 hour with the local ferry. In August there are two ferries a week direct from Brindisi in Italy to Zakynthos.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required on booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival, or immediately if booking is made within 8 weeks of arrival date. A refundable security deposit of £150 is required against breakages and damage which will be refunded within 7 days of return of the apartment keys providing everything is found to be in order after checking the apartment. A Great Holiday! Would like to thank Melanie & Sava for their part in this. Their help and guidance was much appreciated. We enjoyed the weather, getting around (be it walking, cycling, driving or taking the bus), the landscape & especially the wild flowers.We were never disappointed when eating out, the highlight being our last meal of the holiday in the local taverna at the bottom of the hill. We’ll be happy to recommend the experience to others - and will!

By far the most pleasant vacation either of us have had in years. This was made possible with Melanie and Sava’s guidance. In the two weeks we spent here, we travelled by foot, bicycle, scooter and car. The island has very much natural beauty and when driving through the mountains, perhaps taking a minute to smell the rosemary, mint, eucalyptus and other plants is a simple yet formidable pleasure.

We had apartment for two weeks in june 2010 in this lovingly and perfectly decorated. Here has been really thought of everything. We were on our arrival by the owner greeted warmly. Were cooled in the refrigerator drinks, bread, butter, jam and much more made for us. a very nice gesture I think.
In the days following, we have information for places with the most beautiful island of supplies, without which we would not have so much nice to experience.
In any case we will come back.
Once again a big thank you to Melanie and Sava. And not to forget the three B's !
