Vacation Rental Description
Fig Cottage (formerly Les Kai) is a restored 17th century stone cottage - originally the stables to the neighbouring farmhouse Romer. It is a unique and interesting little gem, with metre thick walls to keep you cool in the summer, and with a south west facing sun deck with views across olive groves to the Sea. The pretty swimming pool is set below both cottages and not overlooked by either. The gardens are full of terraces and bourgainvillaea clad stone walls. 
 
This part of Kefalonia is still largely undiscovered by tourists, and more like neighbouring Ithaka than the south of the island. There are several excellent beaches within a ten minute drive of the cottage and a thirty minute walk to the nearest beach. A five minute walk to the village, which has three excellent tavernas, minimarket and church. Five minutes' drive will bring you to Fiscardo, where you can sit at one of the many quayside tavernas, sipping a drink and celebrity spotting as the yachts come and go.

    Motor boat hire from local Fiscardo - take a boat to explore the coastline and find your own private beach!  
    Horse riding in the hills or along the beach - 40 minute drive away.

    A 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking within 5 days of reservation. The final balance is due 8 weeks prior to the arrival date. If reservations are made less than 8 weeks before arrival, then 100% of the rental is required within 5 days of booking. A security deposit of £200.00 is payable along with the final balance 8 weeks prior to your holiday. Following checkout of the cottage(s), it (they) will be cleaned and a thorough inventory taken prior to any guests checking in. Provided there is no more than a reasonable cleanup and nothing has been damaged or is missing, a cheque for the entire security deposit will be posted to you within 7 business days. Price includes electricity, bed linen and bath towels. Beach towels are not included. Prices quoted are based on two people sharing.
