It is an ideal 'get away' place and yet a convenient base for easy day trips to explore south Evia's natural, cultural and historical diversity and experience authentic Greece. Walk down the old cobble-stoned garden path and the sea is at your feet. Old Olives garden flat, surrounded by olive, almond, oleander, pine and fig trees, comprises 2 double bedrooms with patio doors leading to a sheltered patio and garden, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen/living room area. To the front are two very old olive trees (500yrs old) offering an idyllic shady place to sit and relax with sea, sunset and mountain views, surrounded by the tranquil sound of gently lapping water. You are just ten steps away (literally) from a rejuvenating quick dip anytime of the day or night and 2 minutes stroll down to the peaceful picturesque harbor with 3 tavernas (2 all year round).

    • 2 Bedrooms with double beds (plus baby's cot, if required), built-in wardrobes, patio doors that open to sheltered patio and garden with sea view 2 Bathrooms with shower, basin, WC, washing machine Fully equipped kitchen with cooker, hob(ceramic), fridge/freezer, deep freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, cutlery etc. Combined kitchen/living area with stone-built sofa, dining table and chairs for 4, TV, DVD and CD player. Small storage room including swimming gear, 2 life jackets, inflatables, stock of bottled water, iron/board. Linen and towels provided ( beach towels not included). Cleaning and change of linen once a week. Generous outside living space, wooden dining table and chairs for 6, sun loungers, traditional Greek oven & barbeque, tree swing. Garden with cobble-stoned paths leading to the sea and shady patio to the front of garden flat under two old olive trees overlooking sea and tiny island beyond.

    • Secluded beachfront with stone-paved platform for sitting/sunbathing (including beach umbrella & 4 sun loungers), 2 canoes suitable for adults and children (take up to 120k weight each), easy access to safe, gently shelving seafloor with pebbles and sand. There are 3 other local sand/pebble beaches within 5-10mins drive/20-30mins walk and plenty of others on the Aegean side of the island within 20mins drive. 
    Local activities: swimming, snorkelling, canoeing, fishing, trekking 
     
    Nearest amenities: Zarakes village (10mins drive) with petrol station, mini-market, bakery, grocery, butchery, pizzeria, meat tavernas and cafe. Aliveri(20mins drive), a bustling market town with all amenities including banks, supermarkets, post-office, medical centre, pharmacy, internet cafe, international newstand. 
     
    Daytrips: Dimosaris Gorge(an important natural preserve), the mysterious Dragon Houses, the coastal towns of Karystos and Nea Styra.
