Vacation Rental Description
Pretty traditional village house, completely renovated, in a quiet area a few minutes away from the centre, with a very nice view over Symi from its two large terraces, and its small green garden. It is airy, and bedrooms are air-conditioned. 
The first floor of this 105m2 house consists of a large living-room opening on a 25m2 terrace under its trellis, a dining area with chimney, a big kitchen and a bathroom. 
On the second floor, the mezzanine-bedroom has a large double bed; the second bedroom has deck beds; and there is a wc. A second terrace is on the roof. 
The house is comfortable, and is perfect for a family of four, though it can accommodate up to six persons. 
Linen and towels are provided, and the house cleaning is done twice a week. 
The kitchen is fully equipped including refrigerator with freezer, electric stove with oven, microwave, dish washer. 
The bathroom has a bathtub and shower, and a washing machine. 
Both bedrooms are air-conditioned.

    • The house is situated in a quiet area out of the daily tourist flow, but just a few minutes from the harbour, and the shops. All the littel boats which go every day to the various beaches around the island are about 300 meters from the house. The closest beach by foot is about 1.5 km. away. In the summer months, the Symi festival offers concerts, pop and classical, various shows, cinema, etc...

    • Symi is the jewel of the Dodecanese, situated between Rhodes and Kos, a few miles off the Turkish coast which you see from our terraces. It can easily be reached by ferries from Piraeus, and several times daily from Rhodes (50') and Kos. From Symi, you can do day trips to Turkey (Datça) and nearby islands (Tilos, Nisyros...). Symi was a centre of sponge fishing in the 19th and early 20th century, and traces of its affluent past are visible today in its beautiful houses built in 'neo-classical' style which surround the harbour. Thanks to the 'archaeology', the site has been protected. The harbour is always busy with yachts of all sizes, fishing boats and ferries. One can rent small boats, or use water-taxis which will bring you to the numerous secluded beaches around the island. Many cafés and tavernas are on the port.
