Beach
For your daily shopping you must go to the coast (approximately 10 minutes driving). Along the coast way you find several supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. If you take the road directly to the coast you will arrive in the village Galini. If you go there to the right, there is a splendid sandy beach in Agia Fotia. Also Koutsounari (a little further) has a beautiful beach. In Ierapatra (25km) there are several hypermarkets.
In Makrigialos and Analipsis, there is more tourism (pubs, restaurants, bank offices, mail office). There is a beautiful sandy beach and the sea expires slowly, it makes swimming for children safe. On the way to Makrigialos lies between the places Mavros Kolimpos and Koutsouras the national park with a lot of different plants and trees. At the end of the park is the well-known butterfly gap.
In the village Agios Stefanos you can look at the stars and art-workshops are organised. (http://www.sasteria.com/)
