Casa Vitae is a renovated old Venetian castle house. It was built in the late 16th, early 17th century and there is speculation that it was the residence of a nobleman - maybe even the Venetian govenor. It is located in the old city of Rethynmon, thus it is just 3 minutes' walk from the museums, the Venetian fortress, the Venetian harbor, the shops, the restaurants, the cafés, and all other entertainment venues.

Casa Vitae has eight fully renovated luxurious suites, which maintain the historical Venetian style of their epoch. Its unique venetian courtyard with its soft lights in wall niches, its pond, the sound of running water and a glass of ouzo with freshly squeezed orange juice offers romantic escapes.

It is a place where history tends to combine with the traditional Cretan architecture. The hotel is fully equipped to provide the visitor with an ambient environment that merges the romance of the Venetian era together with the picturesqueness of Crete and the comforts of our modern times.
