Western Crete offers a diverse range of interesting places to visit including the spectacular Samaria Gorge. There are numerous beaches, places or archtectural interest, & innumerable restaurants serving local delicacies to international cuisine. The Cretans are particularly friendly & welcoming to their British guests. 
Chania which is not to be missed for its beautiful back street restaurants, shops, stunning architecture and lively harbour. Once you've been you will have to go back! Kalives (2.8 Km) is great for a local breakfast and has a superb beach & Plaka (1.6Km), provides a tranquil insight into unspoilt Cretian village life. The villa is just a short walk to the beach which is flat and sandy and slopes very gently into the clear turquoise water, making it ideal and safe for children. Along the beach are a number of restaurants offering diners a wide range of local inexpensive dishes (€6 -7, including wine), as well as a diverse range of international cuisine, whilst enjoying breathtaking views across the beach and bay. The sunsets in this part of Crete are spectacular as the sun falls across Souda Bay.  
There are no night clubs in Almirida & the location suits those seeking a more leisurely relaxing & quite holiday.

    • 35 minutes drive from Chania airport, this fully air conditioned villa is located in what must be the ideal position in Almirida. It enjoys sea & and mountain views, 2 shared pools, private car parking and is a 6 minute walk to the shops and beach restaurants of Almirida, with their stunning views across Souda Bay. There are balconies on which to relax and enjoy the views, A spacious open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area are on the ground floor, together with a twin bedroom and shower room. Upstairs are a further twin bedroom, the double master bedroom & a second shower room. Two 3 seater leather settees may be used as two further beds (linen provided), if required. The villa is fully air conditioned and has satellite TV provideing English language programmes (cartoons , films, Sky & BBC News 24), & major UK radio stations. High chairs & cots can be hired from the maid service.

    Fly to Chania (Tuesdays) & the villas are a 35 minute drive by car hire or fixed price taxi(€15). Heraklion airport (Fridays) now has Easijet & Jet2 flights and is a 2 hour drive on the National Highway. We accept both Tuesday & Friday changeovers. Pay by cheque or BACS & a £100 bond is fully refundable at the end of your holiday if there have been no breakages. Please contact us directly for availability as we have 3 villas.
