Vacation Rental Description
On the edge of the border village of Bayerisch Eisenstein, backing onto the Bavarian Forest National Park, we have 5 family apartments sleeping 4-6 and 4 one bedroom apartments. All have been fully modernised in the last few years, with full kitchens including dishwashers, microwave etc, large TVs with DVD players. Many bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms.
We offer many extra facilities including books, DVDs and CDs to borrow, sauna and gym, table tennis, pool table, table football, mountain bikes, washing machine, supplies of food, drink and toiletries to buy.
The apartments are eco friendly, with solar panels, new double glazing and loft insulation, and almost 100% recycling of all waste.
Public transport links from the village are excellent and it is possible to travel from London to Bayerisch Eisenstein by train in one day.

We have a sauna (extra charge) and a small gym.
We have a library of books, more than 300 DVDs and more than 100 CDs to borrow.
Kitchens are fully equipped with good quality pots and pans and local crystal glasses and porcelain.
Bedlinen and towels are provided and fresh towels are supplied every 5-7 days.
Washing machine and dryer are available for use (extra charge).
Each apartment has one parking space.
We have supplies of food, drink and toiletries available to buy and we can do shopping before arrival.
Apartments are supplied with tea, coffee, sugar, salad and cooking oil, salad vinegar, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, soap and shower gel for the duration of each booking, plus rolls, jam, spread, muesli, milk and fruit juice for the 1st day's breakfast.

The village has tennis courts and mini golf, a sports ground, large adventure playground, demonstration glassworks and local railway museum. There is a supermarket and bakery, 7 restaurants, a pizzeria and several cafes in the village as well as 2 large sports shops.
The Bavarian Forest National Park is immediately behind our houses, with well marked walks and cycle paths.
There is alpine and cross country skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing and snow shoe walking in winter.
There are 2 swimming complexes within 25 minutes of the villages, horse riding and golf within 20 minutes.
The Czech Border is 10 minutes walk away and the village railway station is the only one in Europe divided between 2 countries - the former 'iron curtain'.
