Vacation Rental Description
Maison Verger is a typical Normandy farmhouse, built approximately two hundred years ago with lots of beams, flint work and old wattle and daub walls. Over the twenty years that we have owned it, we have improved it with a new kitchen, new bathrooms, etc and it now affords a very comfortable four bedroomed house.
There is a wealth of beams throughout the house and we have furnished it with antique furniture. There is full oil-fired central heating and ample logs for open fires. Duvets and pillows are provided for all beds.
There is an external staircase as well as an internal one.
There are plenty of books for reading and games for playing, together with a DVD player. We have endeavoured to create a home-from-home atmosphere.
Please note this is a non-smoking property. Sorry no pets.

Activities
There is a lot to do in the area.
Honfleur is perhaps the most famous resort on the beautiful Cote Fleurie with its yachting harbour, fishing port and quaint old streets. Art galleries, restaurants and bars flourish here. Do visit the Boudin Museum if you have the chance.
Deauville, a sophisticated and fashionable seaside town is popular with the Parisians, especially in August when the famous horse races take place. We particularly like the adjoining resort of Trouville with its Edwardian buildings and long sandy beach which is ideal for children.
The smaller town of Cormeilles, some five minutes drive, is very pretty with a number of bars, restaurants, antique shops and food shops. There is an excellent tour (in English) of the Calvados distillery.
