Vacation Rental Description
We offer a good value for money ski holiday with service at the heart of our business - we really do look after you. If you would like any recommendations for a great ski holiday then please let us know as all our bookings to date for this season have all stayed with us before, 2 groups for 15 years and several for around 8 years. • Chalet Mathilde is a lovely chalet just 5 minutes walk from the centre of the mountain village of Les Coches. Just 20 metres from the piste, only 100 metres from the nearest lift and normally you can ski back to the chalet! Only 15 minutes from the link to Les Arcs.
• The chalet sleeps 12-14 people with 6 bedrooms; 2 twin bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, 3 twin bedrooms with ensuite showers and 1 family room sleeping up to 4 with ensuite shower. All the bedrooms have their own WC and wash-hand basins and some have their own balconies.
• There is a large warm lounge with huge open fireplace, TV, video, DVD and hifi. There will be a selection of videos and CD’s in the chalet for you to enjoy but you are also very welcome to bring your own. There will also be a few books available so if you wish to borrow or swop please do.
• The chalet is of a traditional alpine chalet design, with wooden beams throughout giving a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The views from the chalet are stunning with Mont Blanc and the Northern Alps stretching into the distance.
• We supply all the bed linen and towels. Outdoor shoes are not allowed in the chalet so it is a good idea to bring slippers or indoor shoes. Please note this is a non-smoking chalet, however, you are welcome to smoke in the garage.

Fully catered chalet with excellent food provided therefore no need to entre kitchen description!
Activities
snow shoe walking. Drinking hot wine in front of a roaring open fire or drinking gin and tonic on the terrace looking at fabulous views.

Hi Linda
Just wanted to say thank you for a great skiing holiday – it was honestly one of the best we’ve had (with the kids!) Brilliant hosts and food was good. We came back feeling very chilled and refreshed. Your pick up service for the kids lessons was brilliant – took a lot of the hassle out of it. Also impressed by the unexpectedly large ski area so no doubt we will be back to introduce some more friends to La Source soon. You never know we may even get into booking ahead!
Anyway, hope end of the season goes well – tempted to come back for long w/end before end April but not sure my knee is up to it!

Hi to you both
Thanks again for a super week, we had a fabulous time.
I have to say that I thought Tom and Emily were the best hosts yet, ably assisted by Kristian the Marigold boy ! Picture attached of the three of them hard at work.
Nothing was too much trouble, they were brilliant. Please pass our thanks onto all three.
A special thank you should go to Emily for the Valentines Card, I'll let her explain that one to you.
Can we please book for next year, half-term will be Saturday 19th February 2011, same family room if that's OK.

Hi Linda & Chris, Thanks for a great Holiday. The Attwell's all enjoyed themselves immensely and we all came away a little better at skiing and possibly Ice skating!
Your chalet hosts were very good and everything was just right.
Katrina and I have both said we were really tired by the middle of the week after. As we realised we had so unwound that it was a shock to the system to have to feed ourselves and find out what we had to do for the day. At 4 o'clock no one gives me cake anymore!!
Any way see you next year at the Chalet, and hopefully if you are back in the UK before.

Dear Linda, Just a quick thank you for a great Ski holiday. Can you please pass on our thanks to the whole of the La Source Team who were all excellent. In particular there were a few things that made a real difference
- Ski Hosting, Brilliant, really kick started the week, and again later in the week, our whistle stop tour of Les Arcs. It makes a real difference to not have to keep constantly stopping to review piste maps.!
- Great Chalet Hosts, couldn’t wish for better.
- Ski school, This was some of the best instruction I’ve had in all the years I’ve been skiing.
- Free transport to and from the village etc when required (A real benifit for those tired and weary legs!)
Finally, thanks for not abandoning us in our hour of need and letting us stay on in the Chalet and for your continued support in trying to find us an alternative route back to the UK. MUCH APPRECIATED!!

Firstly, we wanted you to know that we had an absolutely lovely Christmas; Alison and Aaron couldn't have been better hosts and thoroughly spoiled us. Please pass on our thanks and tell them we meant it about visiting when they come to England.
We are already hatching plans for next year and it has come to our attention that Christmas Day 2010 falls on a Saturday. How do you work round this? For obvious reasons, we won't want to be travelling on Christmas Day.

I just wanted to email you to say how much I enjoyed my stay in Chalet Matilde last week with the Tennis Group. You made us feel so welcome and the Chalet was a delight. Aaron and Alison were both complete stars looking after all our various needs and their food was faultless. Christian was a marvelous ski guide showing us around the resort and showing real patience at times!! Please could you send on my thanks to them. Just to say a very big thank you to you both for making our Christmas week such an enjoyable one to remember.
The whole service from the minute we arrived to the minute we left was faultless. "The Olds" (as they are affectionately known!!!) so enjoyed the whole "Christmas in the snow" experience. Thank you Linda for your endless help in ferrying them and us around the resort, and always with a smile. Amber & Giles were superb chalet hosts and we hope they have a fantastic season with you. We just want you to know how much we appreciated, not only the service in general, but all the extras which made the holiday that extra bit special. The lift passes, ski & boot hire, skidoos all pre arranged made a huge difference. The chalet was beautiful, always wonderfully warm and very welcoming and, without exception, the food was amazing and thank you for being so accommodating with regards to "food fads". Also to have Gary as a guide was a massive help - what a brilliant service to provide.
Already thinking about next year............
Thanks once again and a Happy and well deserved successful New Year to all at La Source.

Just for info - despite the mix up in pick up time we would definitely use Coolbus again. Their minibuses were so comfortable and their charges very competitive

La Source : our guests comments say it all !
La Source was established, by the two of us, in 1997, when we started with a small 3 bedroom catered chalet. Since then we have slowly grown but are still a small business with very strong roots. Now we offer a wide range of catered and self catered accommodation in Montchavin-Les Coches, a ski station in the Paradiski area. As a couple we are involved with the local community and businesses to help improve and develop our environment as the challenges of the day and age need to be met.
Our goals have always been the same, to try and give our guests the best ski holiday they could have and at an affordable price. All our suppliers are locally run businesses and we work very closely with them to ensure that the quality of their products remain high, from ski schools to our local wine cave (lots of tasting required!).
Our staff are interviewed by us including cooking tests for the chalet hosts. We are always looking for people who share the same values, work ethic, love of the mountains and sense of fun, that we have ourselves.
Our chalets hosts are hired for their personality, enthusiasm, cooking ability and love of the mountains, our reps are experienced in organising and dealing with any challenges their job or we throw at them and our ski host (catered only) is always a very experience skier who loves to share their enthusiasm for the sport with anyone who cares to join them for a half day of full day on the mountain.
Both sides of our business are equally important to us and we have specific services designed for individual needs. Our self catered guests are looked after by our hand picked rep whose sole responsibility is to ensure everyone who stays with us can get the best from their holiday. Our catered guests will enjoy the highest quality home cooked food, comfortable well positioned chalets and the use of our free complementary ski hosting service. We also offer our catered guests a free pickup and drop off service from the local train and bus stations. All our guests will be introduced to their qualified ski instructors, most of whom are friends of ours, pre-booked lift passes delivered to their accommodation and a guarantee that our whole team is there to ensure you have a great time.
