Vacation Rental Description

The accommodation in the apartment is very flexible. There are two bedrooms - the master bedroom has two single beds that can be pushed together to make a large double and the 2nd bedroom has two singles which can also be pushed together to make a large double. There are wardrobes in each bedroom so there is no shortage of storage space. There is also a sofa bed in the sitting room/kitchen if a 5th person wants to stay. The kitchen and living room form one good sized room with a table berger which lets down for dining. The side tables double as stools when eating. There is a DVD with a range of films and plenty of books for you to read.

There is also wi-fi in the apartment for your convenience.

The Haute Savoie area of the Rhone Alps has the most stunning mountain scenery and is glorious in winter and summer. The area is close to the borders of Switzerland and Italy with easy access to both and if you just want to stay in one spot you can't get better than the local area with its many amenities. It has many beautiful villages to visit in the summer and Chamonix and Megève are two of the major towns.

There is always something to do in St. Gervais whatever the season - it is a friendly town and has the charm of a traditional ski resort. You can self-cater in the well equipped apartment (slow cooker recommended for a great meal on your return), grab a takeaway pizza or dine out in one of the many restaurants in town. We can supply you with a list of our favourites when we speak. The Patisserie is less than 50m up the road for freshly baked bread, croissant, and quiches to die for!

St. Gervais sits between Chamonix and Megève and the télécabine, which is 2 mins walk from the apartment, takes you straight up into the Megève/St.Gervais ski area. In the winter the télécabine runs a continual service and in summer you can catch a ride every half hour to take you up the hill for magnificent views and various walks. If you still have some energy after skiing or walking then take a stroll over the 'Devil's Bridge' across the gorge and try ice skating. There are frequent ice hockey matches there too and it all gets very exciting if the home team are playing!

And finally.........One thing not to be missed is a ride on the Mont Blanc Train, stunningly beautiful in winter and summer. Pick a clear day, pick up the train in St. Gervais and be prepared to have your breath taken away!

The apartment is a charming place to stay and is comfortable for 5 people. It has a sitting room/kitchen, 2 bedrooms, bath with shower over and separate W.C. There is lift access to the 3rd floor, plus a ski box for skis on the ground floor and a cave to store away suitcases for the duration of your stay. The apartment is serviced for your arrival and fully equipped to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The accommodation is very flexible. You will be met by an English speaking host who will brief you on how things work. Welcome pack of food available on request if you are arriving late. The rental fee includes cleaning at the end of your stay but (as is normal in this part of the world) does not include bed linen and towels. The charge for these is £24 for the double bed & £12 per single bed. If you use extra bed linen during your stay extra charges will apply. Likewise if you use more towels than initially provided an extra charge will apply. We can be flexible with arrival and departure dates with the exception of the half-term holidays in February. We ask for a refundable breakages deposit which will be returned to you as soon as we know everything is OK. Summer 2008 prices: May - June £300 per week End June - Mid September (when the lifts are working to take you up the mountain further) £400 per week Winter 08/09 from £300 - £700 please contact for details
