Koala is set off the road in the picturesque village of Montriond but just minutes from the bussle of the market town Morzine. Our chalet is built in the traditional Savoyard style with lots of local stone, wood panelling and beams and just five minutes or so from the Ardent lift giving quick access to the areas of Avoriaz, Chatel and into Switzerland.

The large comfy lounge with a cosy open log fire, tv, honesty bar, dvd and hifi leads onto the informal dining area which has spectacular views from the balconies. There are nine spacious bedrooms, seven of which have sinks in the rooms, on three floors which can sleep up to 28, with adjacent toilets and bathrooms. A sauna will help ease those well earned aches and pains from a day on the slopes or maybe mountain biking or hiking in the summer. There is a large games room with table tennis, air hockey, table football and a den next door with a Wii, PS2, hifi, dvd, video, games, books and toys for all ages. We have free wifi access shouldyou need to keep in touch. Koala is a great base for family get togethers, large or small groups of friends and we also welcome the individual traveller.

The free ski bus stops at the end of our drive and with over 650kmm of marked pistes the Portes du Soleil is the largest linked resort and suitable for all abilities.

Lake Geneva is just over 30 minutes from the chalet where you can find lots of water sports including wakeboarding. White water rafting is just 20 minutes or so from the chalet and you can also try hot-dogging. There are three mountain golf courses within 15 minutes of the chalet.

There is archery and canoeing on lake Montriond just a couple of minutes from the chalet, ponie rides and quad biking too. The lake is beautiful to chill off in on a hot summers day and there is a filtered pool with life guard for extra saftey.

Take to the mountains on horse back and spend a night in a refuge to get the real feel of the alps, orgainised trips also do trekking.

Koala has a large safe garden with a splash pool for summer use. There is a bbq which summer guests are welcome to use,garden table chairs, sun loungers, outdoor games and a little paddling pool for the youngest members. We also have sledges for you to take to the slopes; the garden in winter is great for building snowmen, snowball fights or making snow angels!

Summer in the alps is all about chilling after an action packed day, lazy and laid back, relax with a glass of wine or beer in the warm night air and bbq talking about the days adventures and tomorrows plans.

There are tables and chairs on the balcony for you to enjoy your breakfast in summer or an evening drink as the sun goes down winter or summer taking in the breathtaking scenery. If you have only thought of the Alps for a winter holiday why not come and join us for a summer break; you will be amazed at all the activities on offer that a week will not be long enough!

OUR PRICES ARE PER PERSON PER WEEK, May until December are bed and breakfast with evening meal option for some or all of your days.

Winter price includes accommodation, breakfast, afternoon tea, 3 course evening meal with wine and coffee on six nights out of seven.

REDUCTIONS for children if sharing with adults.

It is possible to book the chalet per room or EXCLUSIVE RENTAL POSSIBLE, please enquire about price giving the number of adults and children in the booking.

To secure a booking we require £100 per person or £2,000 for exclusive rental. Payment can be made by bank transfer to either our UK account or French account or by credit card where we would have to charge a fee of 2%
