Vacation Rental Description
Chalet Chardon Bleu is located in Meribel Mottaret (1800m) in a group of 6 private chalets. Built of wood and local stone this a real "Chocolate Box" ski Chalet and makes a very comfortable base to enjoy the fantastic Three Valleys Ski area. Chalet Chardon Bleu has been awarded the "Label Meribel" an award reserved for select chalets "which are particularly welcoming and demonstrate a mountain style." 
 
The accommodation comprises 4 bedrooms, 2 double rooms and 2 twin rooms with two bathrooms, one shower room and three wc's. On the top floor there are two double rooms, one with balcony with fantastic view down the Meribel valley, one twin room, a large bathroom and separate WC.  
A Mezzanine overlooks the dining area and a spiral staircase takes you down to the middle floor.  
On the middle floor there is the comfortable sitting and dining room with cosy log fire, TV, DVD and iPod dock. Large sliding doors open onto a surround balcony with views towards the ski area of Saulire and Meribel valley. Also on this floor is a modern well equipped kitchen. Also on this floor is the shower room with separate WC, an entrance hall with boot shelves and stairs leading down to the lower floor and a twin bedroom with private bathroom and WC. The Chalet benefits from a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and electric boot dryers/heaters. 
 
Mottaret is the highest point in the Meribel valley at 1800m and is perfectly positioned at the heart of the Three Valleys, the world's largest ski area. You enjoy snow sure, high altitude skiing above the crowds in Meribel and its central position offers the fastest access to the other Three Valleys resorts. A single cable car journey links you to the other resorts and gets you to the top of the mountain, beating the queues. The Three Valleys is the biggest inter-linked ski area in the world and due to its north-facing aspect and 1,200 snow cannons, skiing is virtually guaranteed from December to late April. 
 
With 650kms of marked pistes and almost unlimited off piste opportunities plus safe learning areas for both adults and children you are sure to enjoy a fantastic holiday. It is not just for skiers, there two Snow Parks for the boarders plus marked walking paths and 90 Kms of cross country trails.
