5 Bedroom Chalet in Samoens

Elevated on the Sunny side of Samoens with stunning unspoilt views across the Giffre Valley and Surrounding mountains, Chalet Falcon gets its name from it’s imposing position, grand size and peaceful location. Just a 10-minute walk from the historic village centre of Samoens and 3-4mins drive to the ski lifts, it’s an ideal location for those wanting a real holiday retreat but within staggering distance of all the facilities the ski resort has to offer.

Built with regional materials to the highest standard by local artisans and set in 1000m2 of it’s own grounds, the Chalet offers light, airy and spacious luxury accommodation in a relaxed, convivial and friendly environment. Two large Terraces, one covered and one not, offer great vantage points to sit in the sun and take in the stunning surroundings.

All the rooms, including bedrooms, have their very own fab views, and the chalet is decorated with an eclectic mix of French Chateau Style and regional Savoie pieces that create a stylish and sumptuous interior. It is a very comfortable and relaxing place to spend a holiday! As well as beautiful furnishings the chalet also benefits from a high-tech geo-thermic under-floor heating system which makes the chalet lovely & toasty in a very environmentally friendly way.

Second floor

* Four bedrooms all with en-suite facilities. Two are large family rooms sleeping 3-4 people and all have huge single / super king-size double beds with super fluffy duvets and crisp Egyptian cotton bedding. All beds can be arranged for single persons or couples. All bedrooms have wonderful views!

Third floor

* En-suite family bedroom sleeping 2-4 people

Third floor bedroom: Pointe d’Anterne: 2 King-size double beds OR 4 Single beds.

Triathlon Training Camps: We will be running some more structured Triathlon Training Camps in June & July 2011 with a qualified Triathlon Coach so guests can train & socialize with like-minded individuals.

• Travel Info: Airport transfers Generally we book all our airport transfers for our guests with one of three operators. These are people we have worked with for a number of years who provide a comfortable, reliable and good value transfer right to the door of our chalet. Transfer rates vary depending on the size of your group so you should allow between €22 – €40 euros per person for each leg of your journey. For guests preferring to book a Hire car you should ideally book from the Swiss sector (not the French) as it is easier to get here and you do not have to pay the Swiss motorway tax. By Road Samoens is approx 8 hours drive from Calais so makes a self-drive ski holiday very possible. Allow for stops along the way and you can still be here for your sumptuous evening meal if you book an early-morning crossing. Chalet Falcon has 6 car-parking bays but remember you’ll need snow-chains for your journey in the winter season. You can plan your own route by using Google maps and getting directions from your departure point to Chalet Falcon. By Train Getting to Samoens is also possible by train. You would need to book on the TGV service via Paris and arrive at either Geneva railway station (there are two) or at Cluses, which is just 30 mins drive away. From there we can help book a transfer vehicle to pick you up.
