The chalet is a modern traditionally built wood chalet(sapin with some meleze and red cedar) with 2 double bedrooms and 3 twin bedded rooms. It is equipped with many luxury features to make your holiday a real pleasure. There are two bathrooms one with hydromassage bath and a shower room with a power shower.

A large sejour includes a farmhouse dining table for 10 and a comfortable banquette. French doors lead to a large balcony. Cold feet are not a problem with underfloor heating on the ground floor. The good-sized kitchen is fully equipped to include an electric oven, microwave, hob, fridge and dishwasher.

On the first floor you can enjoy the views of the beautiful Point d'Areu from the master bedroom and balcony. At this level the four bedrooms have carpeting and hot water radiators. The sloping ceiling provide that wonderful alpine feel to the rooms.

Furniture has been carefully chosen to maintain the chalet atmosphere throughout, much of it has been locally sourced. To the rear of the chalet are views of the pistes of Les Carroz and the mountains of the Grand Massif.

There is one twin bedroom next to a bathroom on the ground floor.

The basement includes the shower room (with power shower) laundry/drying room with washing machine and ski room with gas fired boiler. There is also a garage with space for two cars. There are two W.C.'s in the chalet.

The chalet is 30m from the ski-bus(navette) stop which provides access to the pistes and town centre. The bus runs every 20 minutes. A walk to the town centre(two supermarkets) and other shops will take about 10 minutes and a drive to the telecabine station with parking for 500 cars takes 5 minutes (but walking is possible)

The public telephone is near the bus stop or you can use your mobile (reception is very good).

Les Carroz has a good selection of ski-hire shops(about 10), a pharmacy, doctor (who is good at mending broken arms), a church, a two screen cinema, a night club, skating rink, sports hall and about 25 places to eat. There is a good market every Tuesday and excellent bread and butcher's shops.

The village is 1140m above sea level but the ski area extends to a height of 2500m. The village is linked by road to Flaine and by the lift system to Flaine Samoens, Morillon and Sixt. There are 80 lifts in the area and 15 black runs, 56 reds, 41 blues, 13 greens and 10 others (approximately) In all there are about 265 km of pistes.

There are two ski schools: ESF and Nouvelle Dimension, independent instructors and ski guides are also available.

In the summer, mountain biking, walking, riding, parapenting, sailing, swimming, canyoning, rock climbing and many other activities are available within a short distance.

The chalet has a terrace for summer and spring time alfresco eating. There are 2 bathrooms (one hydromassage bath) two w.c.s and one shower room with power shower. The ground floor includes a large dining sitting area and kitchen.
There is a good size boot room in the basement and a laundry room.

The ski-bus stop is within 50 metres of the chalet, but the telecabine station is within 15/20 minutes walk. The chalet is within 200 metres of the village sports hall which has an outdoor pool. Les Carroz boasts over 20 restaurants. The lifts are connected to the Grand Massif system giving access to Flaine, Samoens, Morillion and Sixt. In all there are 265 km of pistes with ski-ing for all the family. There are two ski schools in Les Carroz.

In the summer, mountain biking, riding, canoeing, climbing, swimming, golf and windsurfing are all possible within a short drive.

A returnable deposit is required to confirm a booking. Payment is generally made in one stage, the payment being made about two months before departure. If a booking is cancelled, any payment (less a small administration fee) will be returned, subject to the property being re-let.

Prices vary depending on the time of year. In summer the cost is around £400/week but it increases to £2000 per week at the height of the ski-ing season. The price includes cleaning but excludes the cost of linen hire which can be arranged locally for about £15/person and taxe de sejour at £6/adult.

Payment can be made by BACS or cheque.
