Vacation Rental Description
The apartment is on the second floor of the recently refurbished Hotel du Globe building. It sleeps 8 comfortably in 4 rooms which can be configured as either doubles or twins. Two of the rooms have ensuite shower rooms, the other two share a bathroom and separate w/c. 
There is a large open plan living area with a woodburning stove (logs provided). Two sets of french windows lead out onto small balconies from where you can enjoy the spectacular views down the valley to Mont-Blanc and across to the Argentiere glacier. When they are not skiing, children can entertain themselves with the Nintendo Wii and the large selection of toys, books and games.  
The modern kitchen area is equipped to a very high standard and is kept stocked with basic cooking ingredients. 
The location in the centre of Argentiere could not be more convenient. There is a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants right on your doorstep and yet the ski lift for the Grands Montets area (and the ski schools) is only a 5 minute walk away. If even that is too much walking, then the ski bus stops directly outside the building (access to all 5 of the ski areas in the Chamonix valley) and the train station is opposite. 
Parking is in the station car park (free). Finding a space is not generally a problem. 
The drive to Chamonix with its excellent range of shops, restuarants and sports facilities takes 10 minutes. 
Geneva airport is 1 hour and 10 minutes away which makes the apartment an excellent place to come for a weekend break. 
Our property managers will greet you on your arrival to show you around. They are an excellent source of local information and can help you to get the most out of your stay. They also offer a wide range of services from collecting your ski passes for you to organising guides, instructors or a chef for the night.
