Beautiful 18th century, stone Bergerie located in the small peaceful hamlet of Puyvert. It has the tranquility of a country residence but is not isolated. The property is over 300 square meters and offers luxurious accommodation. Originally farm buildings(still has the original pigsty!). Privacy is guaranteed by entry through a private courtyard. Surrounded by old stone walls and high hedges to block the Mistral.

Outdoor living is possible for a large portion of the year. The poolhouse, with BBQ, has seating and eating areas, pool is 12x6 meters, set among olive trees, with its own shower and toilet. Adjacent to the kitchen is another covered eating area and the large stone terrace offers more space and shade.

The Bergerie offers 6 bedrooms (1 King, 2 Queen and 3 Twin beds),4 bathrooms and 2 half baths. Configeration of bedrooms lends itself to several couples sharing or 2 families. 3 bedrooms have no connecting walls to other bedrooms.

Ground floor: Light filled entryway with stairs and half bath, Living room, with fireplace open to formal dining room, vaulted TV room,with 6 foot thick walls (plus DVD collection!), master suite with twin beds and fireplace, eat in professional kitchen.
Upper floor:Master suite with Queen bed, Bedroom with King bed and adjacent bathroom, Mezzanine with half bath, separate wing with 3 bedrooms(1 Queen plus 2 Twin bedded rooms) sharing one bathroom,ideal for a family with young children, and a study/library with a large collection of books of local interest.

The property is furnished with a blend of antiques and modern decorative items. The professional kitchen was installed in 2007 and features lots of open surfaces with a Lacanche gas stove and a Liebherr fridge/freezer with a wine area. There is a separate laundry building with washer and dryer and extra fridge. Off the kitchen there is a back kitchen with extra storage and freezer. Two upstairs bathrooms were modernised in 2008 and feature limestone tiles, glass showers and an extra large bath.

The entry courtyard holds quite a number of cars, flat area to play boules or play table tennis. There is a second separate car parking area. We also leave some bikes there for your use, morning croissant/bread run! We have also installed a swing/climbing frame set among the olive trees. Shopping is easy in the local markets and there is a good medium sized supermarket within 1 km. Also quite a number of local wineries within 1.5kms.

Kitchen is very well equipped and has a lot of storage capacity in easy pull out undercounter drawers. Opens to the rear so easy for entertaining/eating outside. Property is cleaned weekly with a change of linens. Extra cleaning can be arranged, charged locally at 25 euros/hr. Table tennis table provided,boules and bikes. Large DVD collection for both adults and children. Classical music collection in living room. Study/library has many books.

High Season Price : €4900 per Week

In July and August and at Christmas, we prefer a two week minimum.

50% deposit to secure the booking, balance to be paid 90 days prior to commencement of the rental.

25% cancellation charge to be deducted if property can be re-let for the canceled time.

Payment via bank wire transfer.

Rates include all linen/towels for 10, normal cleaning, electricity and water charges, but exclude phone usage and heating from October to April.

EUR 1000 security deposit required

Arrival times are 4 to 6pm and departures 8.30 to 10am. Late arrivals and early departures will incur a 50 euro charge to be paid locally.
