Vacation Rental Description
Le Mas des Amandiers is a traditional Provencal farmhouse (18th century), very peaceful with superb views on the rolling hills of the luberon, in 12 acres of land.
The accomodation is set over 2 levels and can be rented together during July and August; outside of these dates, only the first floor is available. Both floors have independent access.
In the summer, you have at your's disposal all the house:The ground floor is open-plan coonected by a series of stone arches. The entrance leads into the elegant living room whith fireplace. Through the first stone arch is the dining room with a piano and this leads to the large, very well equiped, modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances including a range and oven, dishwasher, microwave, which is built into the stone wall, and an American fridge/freezer.
There is a separate studio, also on the ground floor, which has a double bedroom with a shower room, a kitchenette and washing machine.It has been comfortably furnished in elegant country style.
Entrance in the first floor leads into a large, open-plan living/dining room with high ceilings. In one corner is the very well-equipped kitchen with four ceremic hobs, fridge, dishwasher and microware
There are 5 bedrooms whish have all been tastefully furnished with antiques and decorated in gentle colours with quality soft furnishing.The five bedrooms are south-facing and look on to the garden and the orchard. One double-bedroom has a cast iron stove and a bathroom en suite with tiles from Salernes. There is a bathroom with exposed stone walls, a shower room and two separate cloakrooms.
Outside are two covered terraces, one north and one south facing, which provide summer living areas, the ideal place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the panoramic views of the countryside to the mountains in the distance. Completing the south facing terrace is a summer kitchen, equiped with sink, hob, microware, barbecues and fridge.
The swimming pool (10x5m) has ladder access. There is a shower and a toilet.
A hammock strung up between two trees or a bed under the south covered teraces make taking an afternoon siesta too irresistible.
