Vacation Rental Description
Lying at the foothills of the Luberon Park,La Loubiere is surrounded by beautiful countryside, in the 10 acre grounds of a 16th century chateau. An ideal base for exploring the beautiful markets and villages of the Luberon, but also just a 20 minute drive to the city of Aix en Provence. Guests have their own fenced pool (12m x 6.5m) with views of lavender, and the thyme and rosemary covered hills. The tennis court, which is set in the grounds of the chateau, was resurfaced in 2008. Guests have unlimited access to the court. It is also a perfect base for hiking, mountain biking and horse riding with its proximity to the Durance River and the Luberon hills. Each of the 3 houses have been lovingly restored by the owners to provide modern facilities, whilst retaining the character and original features of the old buildings, with stone walls, beams and tiled floors. The interiors are furnished to a high standard with beautiful fabrics, bed linen and towels.
La Grange (5 Bedrooms, Sleeps 10)
The barn has recently been renovated to enhance the charm of the old farm buildings and decorated in a rustic, Provencal style. The vast beamed living area (120 sq.m./1000 sq.ft.) comprises large comfortable sitting area with three large sofas, TV/DVD with satellite and a huge open fireplace; a dining area seating 10, and a large well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, oven and hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. A raised decked terrace with table and chairs, has lovely views of the pool and surrounding countryside. Below is a shaded area with built in BBQ. The laundry room has a washing machine, sink and wc. The large family bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, wc, sink and bidet. A door to the exterior of the property exits at ground level. There are 2 double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. One with double doors opening onto the decked area. Stairs lead up to 3 twin bedded rooms. All are decorated in a Provencal style with comfortable beds and beautiful bedlinen
Les Platanes (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4)
This lovely stone cottage has recently been restored and is tastefully decorated, whilst retaining many original features. The private south facing terrace is equipped with umbrella, garden table and chairs for 'al fresco' dining or BBQs. Adjacent to the terrace is a grass area shaded by four large plane trees (Les Platanes). There are views of the surrounding park, pool area and fields beyond.
The open plan kitchen/dining/living area has exposed stone walls and beams and is comfortably furnished for 4 with 2 sofas, a wood burning stove and Ipod dock. The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, hob, combination microwave, fridge etc. There is also an extendable dining table. The 2 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin, are decorated in a Provencal style. Both have built in cupboards. The light airy bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, washbasin and wc and washing machine.
Sebastian's House (3 Bedrooms, Sleeps 6)
This house has been carefully restored to retain its charm and character, with tasteful decoration. The fitted kitchen is fully modernised with fridge and electric oven/hob. Adjoining the kitchen is a comfortable sitting area with open log fire and exposed stone work. Steps lead to another room with stone walls and beams, which has a dining table and chairs for 6, but which can also be used as a thrid bedroom with a 160 cm double bed. On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin. Both are decorated in a Provencal style with comfortable beds and attractive bed linen. The dressing room has hanging space and shelving. The spacious bathroom has a bath with incorporated shower, washbasin, wc and washing machine. Built in to rock, this house is a haven from the high summer temperatures. This house has a private west facing terrace with table and chairs and BBQ, with adjacent parking and its own driveway

Guests at La Loubiere have their own fenced pool (12m x 6.5m / 39m x 20ft), with comfortable teak loungers to relax on (pool towels are provided), surrounded by over two acres of grounds, with views of lavender and the thyme and rosemary covered hills. The tennis court, which is set in the grounds of the chateau, has been resurfaced in 2008. Guests have unlimited access to the court. Each house has its own private terace with garden furniture, however, for large groups wishing to dine outside together, these can all be moved to the shade of the plane trees. Thus guests have the benefit of space to escape and relax on their own, but being able to come together for meal times, if they wish

La Loubiere is well placed for golf enthusiasts, with two courses of a high standard, less than 30 minutes away. Pont Royal designed by Seve Ballesteros is probably the most famous, and Golf du Luberon is also highly recommended for its course and stunning views. Pertuis offers a wide range of shops, from small family bakeries to large supermarkets. Close by there are a wide selection of restaurants from bistros to Michelin starred restaurants. To work off some of the wonderful meals you will experience, there are horse riding and hiking routes from La Loubiere. Mountain bikers will also enjoy the contrast of terrain around La Loubiere, with the Luberon hills and routes along the Durance River. Bikes can be hired locally can be delivered.
Guests can indulge their culinary skills with a range of cookery courses, wine tasting and chocolate making nearby. These and many other activities can be arranged prior to the guests' stay
