Beautiful tranquil newly renovated house on 3 floors with many traditional features in the heart of the ancient town canal walls. Benefiting from 3 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 ensuite shower room, separate WC, 27ft living room with entertainment area, fully equipped Provencal kitchen/diner and very pretty walled double aspect courtyard garden. There is also a wonderfully sunny private roof terrace which benefits two of the double bedrooms.
L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue sits in the middle of 5 confluences of the Sorgue river which rises at Vaucluse de Fontaine 7km away. Year round the waters stay at 13 degrees and flow round many of the narrow historical streets in this town of 20,000. With its delightful boutiques, museums, the baroque grandeur of Notre Dame des Anges and the moss-strewn mill wheels that dot the canals; L'Isle is internationally famed for its permanent antique markets and brocante shops. As well as the major international antiques fairs at Easter and in August, every week L'Isle holds a large antique and Provencal market on Sunday mornings and another smaller one on Thursdays. This bustling town is served by a small railway station and is the gateway for drivers to the beautiful villages of the Luberon to the south, the papal palaces and TGV station in Avignon to the north west, and Mont Ventoux to the north. Kayaking, cycling, hiking, tennis, golf and spas are all enjoyed in the surrounding area. Many of France's most beautiful villages are within 1/2 hour, the sea is 45 mins and skiing around 2 hours away. A wonderful base from which to explore the Cote d'Azur, Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, the Camargue, Avignon and much more.
La Marisol has a private parking space 2 minutes walk from the house in a secured car park. Other amenities include dual range oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, aircon, flat screen sat tv, wifi, DVD/CD/iPOD player. This is a traditional property with 3 floors and a spiral staircase so unfortunately is unsuitable for wheelchair users or those with mobility problems.

Many beautiful villages to visit and plenty of vineyards and wine tours. All the towns in the area have a market day and the tranquil kayak trip down from Fontaine de Vaucluse to L'Isle sur la Sorgue is well worth experiencing. Guests of la Marisol get a special discount. L'Isle sur la Sorgue, (known as the Venice of the Comtat due to its abundant canals and waterwheels), has all the hustle of a traditional Provencal town, along with world renowned antique fairs and markets throughout the year.
la Marisol has its own secure dedicated parking place a couple of minutes walk away so a car is advised if you wish to explore the beautiful surrounding areas of the Luberon, the Alpilles and Mont Ventoux. The epitome of Provence with its poppy, lavender and sunflower fields (seasonal), relax into the Provencal way of life with its wonderful gastronomy.
Many of the prettiest villages in France are close by as well as renowned vineyards, beaches and historic towns like Aix en Provence and Avignon with its Palais des Papes. The unique Carmargue with its flamingoes and black bulls is only 1 1/2 hours. An hour from the ski slopes and 45 mins from the sea, L'Isle sur la Sorgue is vibrant all year round and all seasons have their own particular charm.
Marseille International Airport has flights all year round and is 45 mins drive. Avignon has seasonal flights and the TGV all year round and is 20 mins drive. There are several other airports which are not too far.
