Close to the Massif des Maures you will find the authentic and picturesque hamlet Valdegilly which is only a few miles away form the medieval village of Grimaud, one of the most beautiful villages in France.

Valdegilly, with only 35 houses (most of them restored original hamlet houses) is situated only 5 miles from the beach.
The hamlet is extremely quiet, no shops, no church, no restaurants, therefore is an oasis of tranquillity with hardly any traffic and is surrounded by hills, woods and vineyards.
10 Minutes drive away you have the town of Cogolin, where you will find supermarkets, all kinds of stores and many fine restaurants.
Sporting possibilities are unlimited for biking, trekking, horse riding, sailing, diving, quad bikes for rent and of course golf. Over 10 courses (18 holes) are to be found locally.
Villa La Ruine and studio are available all year round. For a longer stay during the low season we have a special price.

La Ruine is surrounded by a spacious garden (5.000 m2) and private saltwater pool (10.0 x 4.0 m, depth 1,65 m). The swimming pool has an alarm (children!) and near the swimmingpool is a studio of 30 m2 for 2 persons.
La Ruine was rebuilt in 1999 on the foundations of an old farm by Sylvia & Matthew Riechelmann. After their careers in international advertising and in publishing they decided to move from Amsterdam to Valdegilly where they enjoy a new life. They speak French, English and German and are eager to assist their guests with practical information.

La Ruine has 3 bedrooms (max 6 persons plus baby), 2 bathrooms, 2 separate toilets, a very well equipped kitchen and a separate space with washing machine & dryer.
A baby cot & linen is available.

As most celphones do not work in Valdegilly there is a fixed phone (00 33 4 94 43 23 79), you can be called but to make an outside call you need a 'telesejour' card, costs 15,00 Euro at the France Telecom shops/owners. Internet access (Wifi) available for guests.

The pool is regularly cleaned and can be heated in spring if necessary.
The swimmingpool is closed from November till mid April.

The studio can during the high season only be rented in combination with La Ruine which means your privacy is guaranteed.
The studio has a kitchenette, shower, toilet and two sperate beds (0.90 x 2.00 m). Parking space near La Ruine.

Renting period minimum 14 days. Your renting period is starting on Saturday at 16.00 pm till Saturday 10.00 am.
During low and mid season it is sometimes possible to book some days longer (i.e 10 or 25 days).
The use of all linen is included in the renting price.
Water, electricity, tourist tax and cleaning are not included.
Pets, most of them are welcome, but only after consultation before final booking.
If there is no damage, the guarantee will be returned to you after deduction of costs of water, electricity, tourist tax and cleaning.

Skiing information: is less than 2 hours away.
Airports: Nice, Toulon and Marseille. There is a local airport at La Mole (10 km).
