4 Bedroom Villa in St Tropez/St Tropez Area

Our beautifully appointed villa stands on top of a small hill with sweeping views across vines towards a range of hills. Our house, built in 1990, has recently been refurbished and up-dated with new furniture and 'Ikea' kitchen with modern appliances.The house and pool stand in a formal walled garden approached up a long private drive with natural land of over an acre surrounding it. At the back, the land overlooks vines and olive trees.The terrace overlooks our pool,walled on two sides and a tasteful wrought iron fence on the other two sides,conforming with new French safety regulations, ideal for young families. Les Bassinets is a small 'Hameau' or hamlet about 6km from the village of Plan de la Tour. Our house is above the hameau and secluded from our French neighbours but not isolated. The visible rural community comprises about seven individual homes around a pretty valley with vine fields. The house is ideal for a quiet and peaceful holiday away from it all. 
 
 
• The dining terrace overlooks the pool, so it is easy to keep an eye on young children from there. Because of the hilly nature the property is not entirely suitable for disabled people although we have had people with wheelchairs stay here. Wi-Fi internet access available.

• Large patio/terrace with access from kitchen and living room overlooks private 8x4m. pool which is contained in a walled garden with well designed and attractive railings around two sides and walled the other two sides, self closing gate to conform with new regulations concerning access to pools for young children, sun bathing areas. Large teak table with folding wooden chairs on terrace, seats 10 persons. Gas barbecue and tiled serving unit with built-in drinks fridge. Pool terraces with sun loungers and mattresses. Ample large sun parasols. Small grassed area with shade from trees by pool. Other small areas around the gardens with tables chairs and parasols; area for playing Boules, the rest of the land is in a natural state and as we are on top of our own hill we are not overlooked. 
 
• The traditional resort of Sainte Maxime, 15 kms (20 mins), has numerous sandy beaches with showers and beach cafes, ideal for young children. St.Tropez village,across the bay, with super yachts in the port and it's famous Pampellone beach nearby with numerous beach cafes, often frequented by celebrities, is about 40 mins drive. A must! The best way is to park in Ste. Maxime and take the ferry across the bay. 
 
• Nearest 18 hole Golf course is at Sainte Maxime 12 kilometres also old established course at Beauvallon on the coast road between Ste.Maxime and Grimaud.Two 18 hole courses at St.Raphael 30 kilometres. Championship course at St. Andreol, La Motte 25 kilometres. New 18 hole course at Gassin 15 kilometres, opened 2005.There are other courses about an hours drive near Cannes at Royal Mougin / Mandelieu / Valbonne etc. 
 
• Isola 2000 is less than 3 hours drive and has snow from December to April. Foux d'Allos is a similar distance at 1800 metres high.

Plan de la Tour,a pretty Provencal rural village, has good local shops with 2 superettes, 3 boulangeries, an excellent butcher, hairdresser, pharmacie, paper shop, relax in several restaurants/cafes and pizzerias around an attractive square , there is a bank ,three doctors and a dentist. Extensive Provencal market is held each Thursday.The local wine cave has a regular Sunday morning wine tasting and there are numerous Fetes and village events in the summer.
