This “cottage style” apartment with traditional Roman tiled roof on the third and top floor - comes highly recommended for individuals or families to enjoy a relaxing holiday as it is situated in a secluded spot on a hillside, yet is only a few minutes walk from the traditional village of Plan de la Tour and its restaurants, shops, weekly market and vignobles.  
 
This spacious excellent-quality 'cottage style' apartment is in a private mixed residential domaine in Plan de la Tour, made up of villas and low rise 'cottage style' apartments, sharing the facilities of a large swimming pool, children’s paddling pool and a tennis court. The effect of the 'cottage style' is due to the incline of the land whereby the main access is to the rear by a short stairway (and so the feeling is very much of entering a small cottage), yet from the spacious furnished terrace to the front there are superb views across the village roofs of Plan de la Tour and the valley to the Maures mountains in the distance beyond.  
 
The charming and very active village of Plan de la Tour has a population of nearly 2500 and is situated not far from Saint Tropez and Sainte Maxime in the heart of the Massif des Maures. The historic centre of Plan de la Tour is a short stroll away from the apartment where there are boulangeries, bar/cafes, other everyday local shops, public tennis courts and seven restaurants or it is only 10-15 minutes’ drive to the famous French holiday resort of Sainte Maxime with a vast choice of restaurants and several supermarkets and beautiful sandy beaches. A little further along the coast is the equally famous St Tropez which can be reached in 35 minutes or so by car or by taking the ferry shuttle (Les Bateaux Verts) over from Ste Maxime - it is well worth the experience, especially in peak holiday season on market days !

The property has everything necessary for a relaxing holiday- very comfortably furnished and with an excellent level of equipment - including dishwasher and washing machine. There is a designated private parking position just outside the apartment - really everything necessary for a totally restful holiday in Provence. In addition to the two bedrooms there is a double convertible bed-settee in the lounge and the tariff offers the opportunity to accommodate two additional guests with a supplement of £50 per extra guest per week, making the maximum number of guests able to stay in the apartment six. The cottage style apartment is set on a hillside on the outskirts of the charming village of Plan de la Tour, nestled on the edge of a valley surrounded by Les Massif des Maures. Beyond Les Massif des Maures is the beautiful azur blue of the Gulf de St Tropez.. The beauty of the South of France is very seductive, with its picturesque ancient villages, beautiful beaches, heady aromas of the trees and plants and warmth of the local people, it is a wonderful place to holiday and relax. With the almost guaranteed blue skies and hot days, the wonderful provencal food and the ever flowing local wines, it is hard to leave and not want to come back time after time !

A little further along the coast is the equally famous St Tropez which can be reached in 35 minutes or so by car or by taking the ferry shuttle (Les Bateaux Verts) over from Ste Maxime - it is well worth the experience, especially in peak holiday season on market days ! A car is recommended for your holiday due to the rural location, but there are adequate bus services from Plan de la Tour to Ste Maxime and to the station at Les Arcs and so it is possible to survive on public transport if you so wished. Nice is the nearest main airport, which is about an hour's drive away by car, but there is also Toulon (Hyeres) airport, also an hour's drive away and Marseille airport which is about an hour and a half's drive away. It takes about an hour an half to fly from London to reach these airports. All the airports have car hire available but it is possible to arrive at Plan de la Tour by public transport, catching the train from Nice to Les Arcs and then bus to Plan de la Tour. It may also be possible to do the journey completely by bus from Nice and Toulon to Ste. Maxime and then onto Plan de la Tour.
