Vacation Rental Description
Situated at La Londe in heart of the beautiful La Maures mountains region of Provence and the Cote d'Azur is the modern, well presented, two bedroom, mobile home on Parc Val Rose. The caravan is privately owned and is called 'Sunsational' by the family. It is situated opposite the heated Swimming Pool and the Library on a leafy well shaded site. Parc Val Rose is run by an English family and in addition to the swimming pool and Library has a boules court, table tennis tables, a games room, a restaurant and a laundry. It has many mature shady trees and being fully fenced is ideal for children. WiFi internet access is provided by Parc Val Rose either directly to the caravan or at their office for a small charge. The area many harbours and bays and small boats and dinghys can be parked on site by arrangement.
A short distance away is La Londe des Maures, a pretty town in the beautiful foothills of the Maures Mountains. There are a number of wonderful safe sandy beaches in the area and the bustling Port Miramar where facilities for watersports and diving also can be found. La Lavandou, a lovely sea side town, and the ancient village of Bormes les Mimosas are a 15-20 minutes drive. The Toulon/Hyeres airport is approximately 12 miles/19km in the opposite direction. In La Londe there are shops, bars, restaurants and two supermarkets. Nearby is the par 70 golf course, Golf de Valcros. Approximately 30km/18 miles to the east is the world famous St Tropez.

Everything is provided for a self catering holiday except for bed linen and towels. However, there is an option on the mobile home Booking Form to hire a cot, bed linen and towels, this is particularly useful if you are flying to Toulon and want to keep your luggage light. Outside is a patio table, sun-shade/umbrella, chairs and sun loungers. Alongside is parking for your car. There is a gas fire in the lounge area for the chillier nights in the Spring or Autumn. Caravan hire fees include the supply of gas, electricity and water.
A feature of the site is its open aspect with views over fields and fantastic sunsets from the patio. The caravan is one of the few that offer this open aspect on the Val Rose site.
If you do not want to cook and you do not want to go out for a meal, there is a restaurant on site and it also offers take-away meals and chips at reasonable prices.

There are many sandy beaches and marinas (most with free car parking)in the area. Sub aqua diving facilities are based on Port Miramar and and sea kayaking and other boating activities on one of the adjacent bays. Ferries operate from Port Miramar to the off-shore islands of Porquerolles, Port-cros (a national park) and Levant (favoured by naturists). All of the islands make excellent day trips. Also in the area is the Cap de Bregancon on which there is a chateau used by the President of France for vacations.
St Tropez is a popular place to visit with its millionaires' yachts, port-side artists, designer clothes boutiques and restaurants.
For golf lovers there is the par 72 golf course Golfe Valcros. The course is open to day visitors. While a short distance away from the campsite is the Jardin d'Oiseaux which has many rare bird species.
Numerous vineyards and chateaux offer wine tastings or 'degustations'.
