Beautiful old silk farm lovingly rebuilt a few years ago. Large swimming pool. Near the coast yet a world away.
Vacation Rental Description
The house stands half way between Grimaud and La Garde Freinet and is down a valley with lovely views over vineyards, just 2 mins down a private road. With easy access to St Tropez and the delights of the coast it is possible to avoid the crowded main roads to reach the beaches. The bedrooms are all spacious and have air conditioning. the three largest rooms have baths and the smaller one a shower. Two bedrooms have both bath and separate showers. All rooms have good built in cupboards.
The doors lead onto a lawn and down a few steps is the large salt water swimming pool which has a hard cover. The upper terrace is fenced off and has a lockable gate down to the pool. Very safe for small children and dogs. One bedroom with double bed is downstairs with french windows onto the lawn. Two other bedrooms are up one staircase and the master bedroom up another. Apart from 1 double bed all the rooms have 3ft beds made up as doubles or singles as required. Both staircases rise from the full stocked kitchen/dinning room which is central to the house. The sitting room is between the kitchen and a very nice courtyard which is excellent for dining on colder evenings. The house is well protected from the Mistral wind. Outside there is nice teak furniture, padded chairs and sunbeds and a large BBQ. Most of the equipment is one or two years old. The house is looked after by a very nice French House Manager and is cleaned once a week by an english lady. The garden and pool are taken care of once a week. The english speaking House Manager will welcome guests and will help with any problems and provide local knowledge. A cot and high chair are available.
Facilities
The House Manager can do a starter shop to provide guests with basic provisions. There is an open fronted large stone building next to the house which has the laundry facilities, ice making machine and extra fridge. There is a large fridge in the pool area. The TV has English Freeview which means that we only receive the terrestial chanels albeit via satelite. If renting for more than one week the house will be cleaned and linen changed once a week (swimming towels are NOT included). Extra cleaning and baby sitting is by arrangement. Each bedroom is equipped with air conditioning.
Activities
Situated between the two lovely villages of Grimaud (3 mins) and La Garde Freinet (5mins), there is quite a choice of shops, bars and restaurants. Both villages are charming and great places to have coffee and watch the world go by. There are markets on almost all days of the week in the surrounding towns, St Tropez being the most famous. There are two huge supermarkets within 15 minutes. Port Grimaud is 15 minutes away and there maybe a large RIB available at reduced rate for tennants. There are beautiful walks out from the house. The area is also great for mountain biking. There are several riding stables below Grimaud and tennis on excellent courts at the Grimaud sports grounds. Ste Maxime and the nearer Beauvallon have good golf courses. Crazy golf (2) and Go Karting are nearby and there is a huge Funfair with rides for little children as well as the terrifying for the brave.

Booking notes A 30% booking fee secures the dates. The balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. The booking fee is non returnable and cancellation after 6 weeks forfeits the balance. An additional £350 returnable deposit is required against breakages, telephone etc. Heating of pool and house is extra. Christmas and Easter rates available from Owner
