La Juassemin (old Provençal dialect for Jasmine) was designed by us to combine the charm of a traditional ‘bastide’ but with large rooms and luxurious fittings. The house is set on 5,000 sq. meters of tradition stone walled olive terrace gardens, with views over Tourrettes and Fayence perched on the opposite hill top and 100km beyond. We consider it ideal place for those who would normally stay at a luxury hotel, but would prefer a more authentic experience, privacy, and freedom to relax.  
 
ALL LIVING/BEDROOMS GIVE GREAT VIEWS! We have furnished in a mixed style to give you a comfort yet authentic Provençal experience. Original artworks and sculptures add to the ‘home from home’ feel. The wisteria and jasmine covered terrace on 2 sides of the house provides ample shade in summer, and has a dining area for 12 people, and is a great place to view the villages, sunsets, and stars. 
 
A private RESIDENTS ONLY road leads to the automatic double gates and driveway lined with cypress trees and lavender with parking for 4 cars.  
 
The LIVING room is set out into 2 different seating areas and is air-conditioned. French doors open onto the house terrace and into the gardens. It has a traditional olive wood & plaster ceiling. Area 1 for lounging or playing games: ample sitting area with big comfortable sofas in front of a huge wood burning fireplace. Area 2 for TV (English Sky) 
 
The beamed SEJOUR (day room) is open plan with the kitchen so you can chat to the designated chef! It has seating and dining area (but we normally eat outside). 2 sets of French doors open onto terrace. 
 
The KITCHEN is fully equipped and has a large granite work surface. Next to kitchen is the utility room with American fridge (+ ice maker), washing machine, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, juicer etc. 
 
All BEDROOMS have traditional shutters (for those not wishing to be woken by sunrise), and ceiling fans to keep air circulating. Linen, towels, soaps/shower gels are supplied. 
The 1st master double bedroom (with air-conditioning) has french doors leading onto the terrace, and secret entrance to the en suite. 
The 2nd master bedroom located on the 1st floor, has large windows and secret entrance to the en suite. 
Both en suites are large and have double walk in rainfall showers, double sinks, and WC. We have used Alessi & Starck fixtures. 
The 3rd & 4th double bedrooms have large windows, and share the family bathroom which has double sinks, shower, and a roll top bath 
 
POOLSIDE, likely to be the center point of your stay! Just lounge in the pool 5x10m pool and take in the 360 views! Separate towels are also supplied for poolside use.  
It is salt filtered and situated on the lower terrace from the house, tiled in white mosaic to give the water a mediterranean blue color and a jetsteam system for those who wish to exercise. For sun lovers there are 5 loungers, and for water lovers there are 2 floaters. At one end is the shaded pool pergola with comfortable seating and a dining area, and there is large gas BBQ situated close by (for those long french lunches), or a charcoal one closer to the house for a more authentic taste. 
 
Our GARDENS are laid out to give you lots of opportunities for shade and quiet sitting areas to hide away in. You can spend hours exploring the different garden areas and sculptures commissioned from local artists, or looking for local wildlife we encourage by our planting (amongst others, lizards, birds, butterflies).  
We also maintain a potage which has seasonal herbs, salads, vegetables and fruit for your use. 
 
The house (and gardens) can be lit up at night to give a wonderful atmosphere and for listening to the wildlife we encourage by our planting. Different gardens (and specially commissioned statues) are designed for you to explore, and our olive trees (some over 300yrs old) still produce, and we pick, press, and bottle our own olive oil.

We endeavor to make you stay as problem free as possible! To this end we supply, as standard most equipment you may need so you don't have to pack too much or shop as soon as you arrive. We want to save you effort and mistakes. •Potage: for fresh seasonal vegetables, herbs, and salads. •House Libraries: Books, DVDs, Music, Board Games. •Telecom/Internet: FREE use of telephone to landlines worldwide (even to mobiles in USA/Canada). ALL 5-15 mins AWAY!: Tennis, horse riding, gliding. For golf enthusiasts you have the Four Seasons ‘Terre Blanche’. There are also 2 SPAs for those wanting treatments (or have a massage by the pool with our visiting masseuse, by appointment). The lake is a great place for those requiring water sports, pedalos, and is a great place to meet the locals.  
 
Eating out: The 3 Beau Villages of Tourrettes, Fayence, and Sellians have over 30 restaurants and cafes (even a couple with Michelin stars). In the house guide we have listed them and given a brief description. You can also walk into the villages of Tourettes/Fayence (about 20min).  
 
Further afield: For those wishing it, we are about 30>60mins away from the energy, private beaches and boulevards of the Côte d’Azur (Cannes, Nice, Monaco and Saint Tropez). Don't forget the tranquility of the back country where you will find beautiful villages, and unlimited hiking possibilities.

50% of the rental at the time of booking, and the remainder 6 weeks before the rental starts. On top of this we require £400 paid against damages, this will be returned 1 week after your holiday is finished. For info we have never had to use this. We prefer that the rental is paid by electronic transfer. Pool is only heated if you request it, but we have to ask an additional €250 per week for this service. The good news is that it is only really necessary in April/May and September/October! Booking conditions: Please note that changeover day is Saturday, so the preferred time of arrival is 2pm on Saturday afternoon, until 10am on Saturday of departure. We have to do this to make sure that the house is cleaned and fully prepared for each renter. If this presents you with a problem, please let us know, and we will do our best to sort things out! Pets please let us know. We will need to make a small ‘extra cleaning’ charge.
