Fayence is situated in the Var region which combines the peaceful and charming hill villages set in wooded, mountaineous terrain with a spectacular coastline and well known towns like St Tropez. The village has picturesque winding medieval streets and a lively centre with a thrice weekly market, numerous cafes and restaurants, shops and banks. There is also a public swimming pool and tennis courts only 5 minutes walk from the house. Throughout the year there are concerts and exhibitions in Fayence and the surrounding villages. It is avery convenient base for exploring the region, being only a 45 minute drive from Nice Airport; the coast and beaches is only 30 minutes away and the lovely Lac de St Cassian with its beaches, fishing and various watersports about 10 minutes from the village.

There is a good selection of DVDs, CDs, books and games, as well as plenty of local guide books, maps and walk books. On the terrace there is a gas barbeque, table and chairs plus deck chairs.

There is a public tennis court and public swimming pool within a few minutes walk of the house. For golfers we have several very good golfcourses nearby, the nearest, the beautiful Terre Blanche Golf Course is only 4 kilometers from Fayence. Lac de St Cassian is a 10 minute drive away with opportunties for various watersports. The whole area is very popular with cyclists and ramblers making it a suitable location all the year round.
