Chalet Chabrand is beautifully finished throughout in Meleze pine and affords 5 star comfort in an ideal position; easy access to the mountains and rivers of the Vallouise Valley yet only seconds on foot to the village patisserie for your freshly baked breakfast croissant!  
 
Chalet Chabrand comprises the following bedrooms: 
Bedroom 1 = A double with ensuite shower room ( ground floor) 
Bedroom 2 = Bunk beds to sleep 4 
Bedroom 3 = Two singles 
There is also a further large shower room, and two separate toilets. 
There is a large sitting room complete with TV, DVD and CD players, together with a real wood fire although the geothermic under floor heating gives a constant warm ambient temperature throughout the winter months. 
The dining table can seat up to 10 people, and the adjacent open plan kitchen is fully equipped including dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. The utility room includes a washing machine and there is ample space for boots, ski and outdoor equipment. 
Although not specifically designed with disabled access the chalet is suitable for people with reduced mobility. There are no steps on the ground floor, and there is a ground floor double bedroom with en suite showeroom, and separate toilet. It ground floor is open plan and has easy access through the large french windows to the large flat garden. The village centre is just outside the chalet gates and is flat. 
 
The chalet benefits from its own private garden and from the south facing balconies you can see the stunning mountain skyline leading to the Queyras – a unique mountain range offering fantastic alpine walking in a wild and beautiful environment. 
Chalet Chabrand has ample space for an active family or group of friends. Whether its bikes or canoes in summer or skis and snowboards in winter there is plenty of room. 
The chalet comes complete with lots of local information about what's on offer from the owners Jerry and Jackie Gore, including free loan of maps and guidebooks. We can also arrange guided mountain courses for you run by the best IFMGA guides in the Hautes Alpes. 
There is a 2 bedroom attached but independant appartement, which can be rented separately - in total the whole chalet can sleep up to 13 people comfortably. Great for 2 famailies or a large group of friends.

    • The Chalet has WiFi internet access. We also have a selection of baby equipment, bed, high chair, changing mat, childrens books, toys, and sledges. In summer there is hardwood garden furniture, parasole, relaxing chairs and BBQ. We offer a free basic shopping service for your arrival. Particulary useful if you are arriving late by plane. We live full time in the village, so are always on hand if you need any help or advise. The Chalet has an independant 2 bed appartment which can be let separately or together. With the added appartment the total can sleep up to 13, making it a very good option for 2 families together, or a large group of friends.

    • The chalet located just one minutes walk from the centre of Vallouise, a traditional alpine village famous for its historic 15th Century Church and large Thursday market. There are 2 restauants, post office, grocery shop, two bread shops, several outdoor shops and gift / paper shop, chemist, and bank distributer. 
     
    We are avid walkiers and climbers and know many of the walks / climbs in the area. We are very happy to help you plan your week, and can supply free maps and climbing guide books to the area. We also have a good relationship with exellent English speaking mountain guides in the area, and can help to organise any of the adventure sports mentioned above.
