The house is 350 years old. Ground floor has the bathroom (modern)and a converted 'cave'no window but ventilation, with a king size double bed. 
First floor consists of kitchen at the front and bedroom at rear with 2 single beds. Kithchen is very well equiped calor gas cooker and a wood fire burner. 
Top floor has a lounge at the rear and a roof terrace that provides a place to sit and eat with lovely views across the valley. All the floors are tiled, water heating and room heating all electric. 
The village has a population of about 300, a shop and a bar/restuarant. Life seems to revolve around the village square (fountain, Marie, open public laundering facilities with the shop and church just off) The village is pretty and becoming prettier. As the area is a centre of ochre mining, local builders have started to use ochre couloured materials when renovating the exteriors of the houses. It is also off the beaten track in a most attractive part of Provence. The commune has a boule parc and this is opposite the house and provides an excellent car park! 
The area is part to the Department de Vaucluse with the best know cities nearby being Orange and Avignon. (40k away) The nearest town of any size is Carpentras (15K) but the most obvious landmark is Mont Ventoux. Flassan is at the southern foot of Mont Ventoux and is surrounded by vines and fruit trees but has forests and gorges close by to the North and East. 
Drinkers will find the proximity of Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Beaumes-de-Venise atractive with Chateauneuf-du-Pape no great distance.You could also try the local co-ops, our favourites being Viles-sur-Auson for red (their top quality is from Flassan) Mazan for white and Caromb for rose, but probably the best local wine is from Domaine St. Pierre on the outskirts of the vilage. 
5k away in the next village, there is a natural lake with a wonderful sandy beach, swimming is allowed and very safe for children. 
Walkers can leave the front door and walk in any direction, North, South, East or West, wonderful walking contry. 
Cyclist, how about tackling Mont Ventoux!!! The tour de France regularly cycles up and over it. 
Horse riding is also a good past-time. 
Sking (on a good year) is possible on Mount Ventoux. 2009 has been fabulous!!! 
Wonderful restuarants close by, the french are noted for their 'cuisine'.  
All in all this village is very very pretty and 'TYPICALLY PROVENCAL'
