The village is classified as one of "character" with its "place du chateau" and panoramic view over the Luberon plain and park. It is a "village pérché de Provence" and is on the crossroad to Forcalquier which was a roman fortified town and has plenty of activities as well as the biggest provencial market every mondays 
The sea port town of Marseille is about an hour of drive and the university town of Aix by 40 minutes drive
