Vacation Rental Description
Newly renovated apartment situated in the garden of a villa, 1.5 km from the historic city of Vence, and 20 minutes from the beach and the Nice International Airport. Vence is up in the hills behind the coastline. The property is about 90m2, has one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and one bedroom with two single beds. There is also a separate bathroom and a separated toilet. There is an open plan kitchen and dining room, which opens into a large living room. Internet access is available.
The apartment is fully furnished. Linen and towels are provided. A terrace surrounds the apartment, with a barbeque area, and a sunny area too, for those who like to catch the first rays of morning sunshine.
There is a large garden, which is shared with us, that is the owners of the villa. There are swings and the garden is child friendly and private. Plus plenty of private parking space. From the apartment you can see the beautiful Baous des Blancs. We are also 5 minutes away from St Paul de Vence.

    • Television is cable with the 6 local french channels and 18 others. There is no SKY. There is a DVD player and a selection of DVD's to view. If shopping is required, your hostess will be happy to do a shop for you. And if extra cleaning is required, that can be arranged as well. There is a public swimming pool in Vence,that is open from the end of May through to the end of September, and the good news is, the water is heated 28°degrees. The pool has a small basin for children and a larger one for adults.

    • There are tennis courts in Vence. The closest golf is in Opio, about 30 minutes from Vence, and there are many other golf courses in the region.Always plenty of shops. Vence has three large supermarkets,a cinema, a variety of shops, bars and restaurants all keeping with the traditional french village atmosphere, and here in the summer time is host to the very popular 'Les Nuits du Sud' musical concerts. Vence is also home to Matisse's Chapel.
    As we are up in the hills, there are river walks, rock pools, hiking, etc.
    In winter time the closest ski resort is Greoiliers les Neiges, which has 9 pistes and perfect for beginners and children. It is 45 minutes from the apartment.
    Then for the skiiers, Auron and Isola les Neiges are an hour and a half away. Here the ski resorts are larger and offer more.
    All water sports are on the coast, 25 minutes from Vence.
