Activities
Civray is our nearest town 8 min drive. Civray is set on the beautiful river Charente, and boasts a masterpiece of Romanesque style, with the 12th century Roman church of St Nicolas at the heart. The hamlet set in this tranquil region is a tapestry of fields of sunflowers and poppy edged wheat fields with numerous idyllic country lanes for quiet walks. Every Tuesday and Friday there is the colourful town market, where you can taste some of the local specialties. Or maybe try one of the many restaurants or bars. Civray offers an open air pool through the summer and lovely walks by the river or perhaps you like to fish. Licences are available from most tabacs. We have two large supermarkets and several smaller ones, an array of small shops all worth a browse. If you like a more peaceful town why not hire a bike from speed cycles and let the hustle pass you by.
