Vacation Rental Description
Tranquil and quiet yet not isolated the house is on one level, sleeps 2-4 comfortably. It is well equipped and electrically heated throughout for toasty winter breaks. It has a spacious garden with furniture, BBQ, and 5m diameter and 1m deep private swimming pool for warmer times.
The accommodation is of a high standard, bright and well laid out. The bedroom has ample storage and twin beds. The double sofa bed in the Lounge is a good size and comfortable.
The Lounge/Diner has an English TV/DVD/Radio/Stereo/CD/Cassette player. French windows open onto a spacious garden with private pool, furniture, BBQ. We offer a selection of DVDs, books and garden games for your enjoyment. The well-equipped Kitchen Area has a mini oven and hob, microwave, fridge, electric, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and washing machine. Tea towels, washing powder and cleaning materials are provided as well as a dinner service for 6 people glasses and plenty of cutlery, not forgetting the bottle opener and oyster knife! We welcome you with a bottle of wine from a vineyard on our local wine trail.
Whether relaxing by the pool is your style strolling or cycling around the paths and quiet countryside lanes, bird watching in the garden, fishing and boating on rivers and lakes, karting, a round of golf, watersports, exploring the wonderful selection of historic places or spending a spectacular day at one of the theme parks nearby such as Futuroscope or Puy du Fou; for the children venues like the Zoo at Doue la Fountaine or Monkey World (Valley des Singes) - all is possible. We supply information of things to do and see, details of local village fetes and festivals, markets and events, all of which offer the opportunity to experience traditional rural France.

"Everyone always hopes that 'this holiday will be the 'best ever'. Happily it has been. The gite is well appointed and just like its hosts Margaret and Brian - wonderfully welcoming. For us this hs been the first year in 'France proper. Off the tourist trail, but not off the beaten track. The garden provided much needed calm and peace in between sorties to Saumur; Futuroscope; Breze; Thenezay; Parthenay and to Cognac . As for the swimming pool like the equation shows - children +water = squeals of delight. The double-bed/sofa was a delight : to put up and to put away....
Food grown, bought and eaten locally, was a real pleasure. Nuff Said!
