2 Bedroom Cottage in Deux-Sèvres

The cottage is situated on the edge of a small, picturesque hamlet which was chosen to celebrate the "Journees Patrimoine" (French Heritage) because of the large number of historical features retained in the properties here. Being in the heart of the French countryside, our stone-built cottage is ideally located for walking, cycling or relaxing in peaceful surroundings, yet within easy reach of Sauze-Vaussais with its market, shops, swimming pool, tennis, etc.
The Charente region is famous for its high blue skies and long sunny summers, wide sandy beaches, Romanesque churches, traditional markets, seafood delicacies, goat cheese and of course good wine and Pineau. Local restaurants offer a wide selections of regional dishes and a good variety of wines can be tasted and purchased in the area. For those who want something stronger why not visit the distilleries at Jarnac and Cognac?
The Atlantic coast and the islands of Oleron and Re have many sandy beaches and a wealth of historic sights at La Rochelle, Fouras, Royan, etc. Visitors to this coastline can also take advantage of the seafood for which it is famous. The coast is an hour and a half drive away.
Other places of interest include Futuroscope theme park, The Marais Poitevin or Green Venice, the silver mines at Melle and several chateaux. There are lakes for fishing and swimming nearby and the beautiful rivers Charente and Vienne are within easy reach.

2 bedrooms - one double and one twin. Bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and w.c. Fully equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge with bed-settee, wood-burning stove, TV, video and DVD. Oak beams and stone walls throughout.
French windows open onto a spacious patio equipped with garden furniture, sun-loungers and barbecue. The fenced 9m x 4m pool with Roman steps and underwater lighting is set in a large private garden with boules/games area and ample parking. There are laundry facilities, changing room additional w.c. and games room.

Cot and high chair available. Games room with table tennis, pool table, darts, table football, multigym and rowing machine. Bicycles available. Sun loungers and barbecue. Large private, fenced garden.
