A very charming 2 person apartment created in a former 400 years old farm house. Many authentic features.

The former 17 th century farm house was in the 19 th century renovated and enlarged into a colonie the vacances. We renovated the complex in early 2006 into a gite/apartment complex with restaurant, terasse and a campsite.
All the apartments are on the second floor.
Living room
Gite la Glane has a big, yet cosy living room with a laminate floor.
The diner area has an antique dining table which is put against an old wall. Imagine that these walls are more than 60 cm thick! The ceiling still has its beams from the 17 th century. The living area has a leather canape.
The gite is provided with television, dvd, satelite.
Bedroom
You will sleep unther big massive 17 th century old beams!
Two single beds are put next to each other.
In summertime this bedroom stays cool because of the thick walls (60cm!!) and in winther it is comfortalbe because everything is well insolated.
In the bathroom you will find a shower-cabine, a toilet and a sink.
Kitchen facilities
A small kitchenette includes electric oven, electric cooker with 3 rings and a range hood. A frdige, coffee maker, electric kettle. Cupboards fully equiped. Everything for a comfortable stay!

Strictly no smoking inside gite La Glane or elsewhere inside the buildings!

You have a shared garden near your gite/cottage, with your own garden furniture.

You have a shared garden, where you can relax, but you may also choose to join others at the terrace, the swimmingpool. There are many beautiful spots where you can sit and relax. Where you can watch and listen to the many birds.

Dogs (and other pets) are more than welcome provided that they have had all necessary vaccinations.

If you are looking for a summer holiday, a long weekend or a short break in early or late season, our gîtes (similar to a self-catering apartments) and our campsite are the ideal place to start a holiday of discovery and enjoyment in the beautiful Charente-Limousin.

Gite La Glane lies on the first floor	the little hamlet of Essubras

Biking, Childrens Playground, Fishing, Golf, Hiking, Horse Riding, Kayaking, Mountain Biking, Restaurant, Shopping, Tennis, Theme Park, Zoo/Wildlife Park

For the active visitor, Essubras is also the starting point for a variety of walking, cycling and driving tours throughout the Charente-LimousineThe nearby lakes have excellent water quality and are ideal for swimming, rowing, canoeing, fishing (carp and other fish) or relaxing.
Other facilities nearby: tennis, golfcourts, racing on a circuit.
All over the area around Essubras, you can take a trip into the past and visit a number of chateaux, of menhirs and dolmens. And for those looking to enjoy the flora and fauna, it is at its breathtaking best in the months of May, September and October.
There are plenty of museums and historic places of interest to visit. Such as Angouleme, Limoges, Confolens. Located at about 15 kilometres from Essubras you find Oradour-sur-Glane and its Centre de la Memoire. This village remembers its 642 martyrs - men, women and children - who were murdered by the German SS on the 10th June 1944.

For your further relaxation and enjoyment there is a heated swimmingpool (unsupervised), boules de pitches, a volleyball-court, table tennis, bikes to rent and a sandpit. Inside, a dart board is provided, as well as a selection of games and books and all the informations/maps of the region.
The ‘petit restaurant’ serves continental breakfast and here your can have also a tasty yet simple meal, and taste a glass of regional Charentaise wine or a delicious Pineau des Charentes.
You also find a mall shop for basic provisions as well as sweets and ice cream. And every morning we offer freshly baked croissants, pains au chocolat and baguettes.We organise a barbeque and pizza nigthat the campsite! You may join that!
In the restaurant you will find a computer, where you can check your mail and send a message to your family. we have also installed WIFI, so you can work on your laptop while sitting on the terrace.

The reservation deposit will be 30% of the invoice. to be paid within 14 days after receiving the invoice. You may pay the deposit on our Dutch of French bank account. The balance of the invoice must be paid 8 weeks befor the start of the holiday. In case of reservations within 8 weeks before the start of the holiday the total amount has to be paid immediately.
We have no electric payment facilities, on our complex you can pay in cash.We ask a damage deposit of 25,00 euros, directly refunded at the end of your stay.
Cancellation more than 8 weeks before the holiday start, you will be liable to pay 15% of the total of the invoice.8-4 weeks before holiday: you are liable to pay 50%4 weeks or less before holiday: you are liable to pay 100%.
