Vacation Rental Description
The beautifully renovated Cottage comprises of a comfortable integral sitting area with Kitchen and a separate shower room on the ground floor with a Double bed settee. On the mezzanine floor above there are 3 single beds with bedside cabinets and wardrobe. 
The kitchen is equipped with Gas Hob, Microwave Combination oven and Fridge and all the necessary utensils and crockery. 
 
We do offer the option of an Evening Meal to all our Guests if required; these must be booked in advance on the day. 
 
All linen and towels are provided for use within the cottage 
 
Outside there is a private garden with a barbeque and car parking space.  
 
There is also a beautiful pool situated in the grounds complete with hydro massage jets and underwater lighting. Around the pool there is a terraced area with sun loungers, tables and chairs and a BBQ plus a shade area, all providing a relaxing atmosphere.  
 
All this is set in the quiet wooded river valley but near to many of the local attractions.

    • We offer the chance of a quiet break away from everything. Without having to get into your car, right on our doorstep there are nature walks around the immediate area through the woodland. Also there are some lovely tracks suitable for cycling around the local countryside and with fishing available just outside the front door with plenty of fish in the river what more could you ask. We have deer in the woods around us who come to drink from the river at dawn and dusk, there are also otters and coypu to be seen on the river banks, and maybe you will hear a Sanglier roaming in the woods, though they are very shy. We regularly have several Buzzards and sometimes a Red Kite flying overhead, not to mention in spring and Autumn the migrating geese on their flightpath over us which is spectacular to watch.

    • La Vigne is in a relaxing peaceful location in a wooded valley with a river bordering the property.  
     
    To the north are Puy de Fou and Futuroscope Theme parks, both within easy reach. 
     
    To the west is the atlantic coast and the beautiful old port of La Rochelle with lovely sandy beaches. 
     
    Just a short distance to the east are the lakes of Haute with plenty of places for fishing or just relaxing by the water, or if you like something a little more adventurous try some rafting or canoeing.  
     
    Then to the south and south west is Cognac and the world renowned vineyards of Remy Martin, Martel and Courvoisier to name but a few, There are guided tours of the famous vineyards followed by a tasting of the famous liqueur. 
     
    All around the area are beautiful villages, stunning Chateaux, rolling countryside and amazing views, all complementing the pretty towns of Ruffec and Mansle and the beautiful city of Angouleme.
