Vacation Rental Description
La Courbee has one enormous double bedroom,a lovely twin bedroom,and it has nearly three acres of gardens and a large covered varanda which it shares with our cottage (Harmonie which accomodates two people)
The entrance drive gives access to an enclosed and gated courtyard where guests are welcome to park their cars.
The front door gives way to the large covered varanda which in turn gives way to the garden and the south facing terrace.
Downstairs the accomodation comprises a fitted kitchen with dining table and chairs,gas hob and an electric cooker.there is also a microwave and a dishwasher.
A hallway leads through to a large sitting room with a dining area at the far end and windows overlooking the terrace and lawns. We also have english Television in this room.
Back in the hall a winding stairway leads to the upstairs landing, from here we have access to the two bedrooms and the house bathroom, with bath,shower and bidet.

Activities
The river Charente at Ruffec is only 5 mins by car, Here is a great spot for bathing, there is a small sandy beach, the waters of the lazy Charente are crystal clear and teaming with Fish. There is also Canoe hire here in high season, It is possible to do a descent of the river, say half day or a couple of hours and the canoe hire people will come in a mini bus pick you up and bring you back to your car.
Futuroscope in Poitiers is a fantastic day out or just a soiree not just for Kids but for adults as well, a little bit similar to Epcot in Orlando.
We are very fortunate here to have a lovely selection of reasonable price restaurants within a short drive.
A Visit to one of the famous distillerys at Cognac is a must and we would also recommend a visit to our local Small producer,
