Vacation Rental Description
Sunrise Cottage is a sympathetically restored traditional stone cottage with oak beams, stone walls, Charentais fireplace and feature original little stone sink. Set in over an acre of fenced garden, the cottage faces south and has private seating areas, with garden furniture, at both the front and the side, taking advantage of the sunshine throughout the day. There is a barbecue, ideal for for long lunches or dinners al fresco. The large above ground pool, shared with Sunset Cottage, is perfect for cooling off on hot sunny days. The property is in a tranquil location surrounded by fields of maize and sunflowers. Quiet lanes and woods by us are ideal for walking or cycling to spot the wide variety of wildlife and birds. 
 
Through the front door you enter the large lounge/diner. Comforatble seating, original Charentaise fireplace with woodburner, TV, DVD and video player, Mini HiFi (CD/tape/radio) and a large selection of DVDs, vidoes, CDs and books. The dining area, which leads to the kitchen, has a farmhouse table and chairs and a dresser. In the country kitchen is a gas cooker, fridge, double sink unit, washing machine and microwave. The downstairs bathroom has a shower, wash basin and loo. A baby bath is available for small cjildren and babies who prefer a bath to a shower. 
 
Stairs from the lounge lead to the two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has double bed. Bedroom 2 has twin beds. There is a fold-up bed for use in either room is there are 5 people in the group.  
 
Outside - Garden tables and chairs, parasols, sunbeds and a barbecue are provided. The above ground pool is shared with Sunset Cottage. There is a selection of outdoor games equipment including tennis racquets, footballs and of course boules. We have as election of bicyles that you are welcome to use.  
 
With two cottages on site it is ideal for a holiday with family or friends. Book both for a holiday together and still retain your independence!  
 
We also offer the opportunity for you to attend art courses, ranging from painting and drawing to ceramics, sculpture and textiles, with local artists. Courses are suitable for both beginners or the more advanced and can be tailored to your individual requirements.

    A £100 (non returnable) deposit secures the booking. Balance is due 8 weeks before the arrival date. Payment by bank transfer to UK bank account, cheque in euros (exchange rate at the time) or Pay Pal. In the event of you cancelling your holiday within 8 weeks of commencement you are still liable for the full cost. In such cases we will make every effort to re-let the accommodation. If successful a refund of monies, less deposit, will be returned. We recommend you consider some form of travel or holiday insurance to cover this.
