Vacation Rental Description
Our house is located in the village of Cellettes, in the Poitou-Charente, approximately 1.5 kilometres from the town of Mansle just off the N10. The house has thick stone walls that keep it cool in the summer and stays cosy in the winter months thanks to our central heating and log burner in the lounge. We have four good sized bedrooms, two on the first floor and two more on the second floor. The large family bathroom has a bath and shower plus bidet, toilet and washbasin, plus stunning views across the fields and valley. The top/second floor also has a toilet and washbasin.  
 
The pool is surrounded by security fencing with a safety gate, and has a large area for seating and sunbeds where you are secluded from view.  
 
Our rambling garden is enclosed at the front and back so is safe for children to play, and has many fruit trees and shrubs. There is also another outside toilet which is very convenient when you are in and around the pool.  
 
The kitchen is overlooking the terrace, pool and back garden, therefore ideal for dining alfresco. We also have a portable BBQ and another static one overlooking the pool.  
 
At the bottom end of the garden is a barn with table tennis, table top football, darts, etc.  
 
Angouleme is about 20 minutes away by car. Alternatively, you could drive to the local station, Luxe, and take the train instead which takes about 10 minutes and is about 11 euros. Another place of interest is Cognac which is about 1 hour drive. All the Brandy distillers, such as Hennessey, Courvoisier, Martell etc offer tours and tastings.  
 
Pets may be allowed subject to our agreement in advance.

    • There are many places to visit in the local area. There is a Tourist office in Mansle where you can pick up the latest information about these activities.  
     
    The closest beach is approx. 90 minutes away at Royan.  
     
    Futuroscope is approx. one hour away towards Poitiers.
