Vacation Rental Description
One of 4 luxury gites created from a former cognac distillery and developed to provide the highest standard of accommodation and on site facilities whilst retaining the original charm and character of the buildings. Each property is independent and they can be rented together or separately. The properties sleep 8, 6, 4 and 2 people. the following details are for 'Martell' sleeping 4 people. Martell has been created from an old barn, well room and wine storage vats giving it a unique character. It is entered through a covered private courtyard hidden behind wrought iron trellis work.
The main living area is open plan and incorporates a modern kitchen, comfortable armchairs and a dining table. From the lounge area there is access to the private patio which is furnished with table and chairs.
The property is single storey on the ground floor.
There is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. Both bedrooms are large and airy facing south and look out onto the central courtyard and fish pond.
The bathroom offers a modern shower, wash basin and toilet.

Facilities
On site there is a large 6x13m swimming pool set in a secure courtyard with sun terraces,sun beds and parasols provided. Set into the landscaped terraces and gardens, there are 2 BBQ areas for the use by guests. Enjoy our games rooms with it's table tennis, pool table, table football and childrens games. Take your pick from our selection of DVD and videos or select some holiday reading material from the library. The property is set in 2 1/2 acres of parkland and landscaped gardens, ideal for a quiet game of boules or something more energetic Full tourist information, icluding maps and guide books, is available on site along with a range of restuarant information and reviews

Sample the delights of the great cognac houses of Remy Martin, Hennessy, Courvoisier and more or try the product of one or more of the many local independent producers in the area.
Discover the beautiful valley of the river Charente.
Experience the beauty of picturesque villages, romanesque churches and chateaux.
Take the short drive to the beaches of the Atlantic coast or visit the towns of La Rochelle, Rochefort, Saintes, Angouleme, Bordeaux, Limoges and Perigiuex.
