Vacation Rental Description
One of 4 luxury gites created from a former cognac distillery and developed to provide the highest standard of accommoation and on site facilities whilst retaining the original charm and character of the buildings. Each property is independent and they can be rented together or separately. The properties sleep 8, 6, 4 and 2 people. the following details are for 'Otard' sleeping 2 people. The beautiful accommodation 'Otard' has been created from the conversion of an old cognac storage barn. With it's exposed stone walls and sloping ceilings the property retains all the original beauty whilst provide accommodation of the highest standard and comfort. Unlike many rental properties for couples this one benefits from properly defined rooms and full facilities.
Built into the walls of the courtyard surrounding the swimming pool the property has a wonderful double aspect. Enter through the patio doors overlooking the pool and then move through to the living area with the magnificant vistas over the parkland and the vines beyond. The patio area to the rear ensures that Otard guests have seclusion and privacy making it the perfect hide away.
Set into the corner of the lounge is a fitted kitchen kitted out with everything you might need during your stay.
There is spacious bedroom with double bed and masses of storage. Leading from the bedroom there is large shower room with it's spa jet cubicle shower.
The property is on a single level and has wider than standard door openings and is is therefore suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Facilities
On site there is a large 6x13m swimming pool set in a secure courtyard with sun terraces,sun beds and parasols provided. We provide hairdryers and the gite has free internet access Set into the landscaped terraces and gardens, there are 2 BBQ areas for the use by guests. Enjoy our games rooms with it's table tennis, pool table, table football and childrens games. Take your pick from our selection of DVD and videos or select some holiday reading material from the library. The property is set in 2 1/2 acres of parkland and landscaped gardens, ideal for a quiet game of boules or something more energetic Full tourist information, icluding maps and guide books, is available on site along with a range of restuarant information and reviews

Discover the beautiful valley of the river Charente.
Experience the beauty of picturesque villages, romanesque churches and chateaux.
Take the short drive to the beaches of the Atlantic coast or visit the towns of La Rochelle, Rochefort, Saintes, Angouleme, Bordeaux, Limoges and Perigiuex.
