A warm welcome awaits you at Chez Beaugis, a traditional Charentais cottage situated in one of the sunniest and friendliest regions of France. It is surrounded by the peaceful Charente countryside in the Summer you will find fields of sunflowers, in Spring you will find an array of beautiful wild flowers.Autumn and Winter also have a lot to offer. They are lots of places to visit and plenty of walks for the energetic. Located in a small hamlet, but only a few minutes drive (3kms) from Chasseneuil-sur-Bonnieure. The cottage was built around 1830 and has been fully renovated, retaining original features such as stonewalls, beams and orignal terracotta floor tiles.There is a lovely sunny courtyard, and at the rear of the cottage there is a secluded garden where the above ground pool measuring 3.5 diameter and 1 metre deep is situated. There are also 2.5 acres of south facing grounds to explore. The cottage is fully equipped for all your self-catering needs.The Cottage offers good family accomodation with 3 good sized bedrooms one ensuite. There is a large walk in shower and seperate toilet downstairs. The upstairs bedroom has lovely oak beams and stone walls, it also has a large vanity basin. The Kitchen has a hob & oven, dishwasher, large fridge with a small freezer, microwave oven, kettle there is everything you need to make a snack or a three course meal. It is a perfect place to relax and unwind all year round. We have a cosy living area with log burning stove for the cooler months. Lynn & Ken the owners will be on hand to welcome you and ensure that your stay is a relaxing & enjoyable one.

There is plenty of things to do for couples and families alike. Plenty of good places to eat, to suit every budget or taste. 
 
We are two hours from the coast, but we do have beautiful lakes with manmade beaches nearby where you can swim, hire pedloes or canoes. Most have snackbars or resturants and some have lifeguards in the main season. Plenty to do for all the family. 
 
Chasseneuil-sur-Bonnieure has the monument to the French Resistance and it is where many of them are buried. The area we are in is where a lot of the The Resitance Fighters where based, we have a Museum in town that is very interesting that shows the places where a lot of the fighting took place, many elderly people here still have lots of stories about this time.

The low season price of £240.00 is for 2 adults, plus £50 per couple or person. A 35% deposit is required to secure a booking, then full payment 8 weeks before the start of the holiday. A refundable security deposit of £100 per booking is requested with your balance or in euros upon your arrival. Fully inclusive of bed linen, towels & tea towels.Pool towels are also supplied (For a two week stay linen will be changed on the second week) Logs for fire, electric, gas & most cleaning materials are included. If final cleaning is required a charge of £35.00 will be made. We recommend that you take approriate Holiday Insurance for peace of mind.
