Nestling in the village of Charme in the beautiful and tranquil countryside of The Charente region, close to many tourist sites such as Cognac, Angouleme and the protected Mediaeval village of Tusson,La Rose offers spacious family accommodation for those wishing to escape to a simpler, more relaxing pace of life. 
Set within the courtyard of a 250 year old farm complex, the accommodation benefits from the use of a stunning floodlit fully enclosed 8x4 in ground swimming pool and sun terrace. Large enclosed garden where the children can play safely. A selection of games and books is available. This 4 bedroom 3 bathroom gite sleeps up to 9 people and comes with a fully equipped kitchen /diner and a lounge with period features. Large French doors lead from the dining area to an outside seating/BBQ area. 
Bedroom one is a single ensuite downstairs room. 
Bedroom two is a double ensuite bedroom with large walk-in wardrobe. 
Bedroom 3 is a large double ensuite room with walk-in wardrobe 
Bedroom 4 is a large children's/family room sleeping 4 in a mix of bunks and divans 
The kitchen is equipped with oven and hob, microwave, washing machine, large refridgerator,large freezer,toaster and a large table seating 9. 
The lounge is equipped with TV, video player, DVD player and access to free channels on SKY. There is also a selection of games and books. 
Outside the property gives on to a wonderful private courtyard, covered games area and a large garden where children can play safely. 
The pool is situated within the courtyard and is fully surrounded by a walled sun terrace making it very private. There is a solar heated shower to the side of the pool.

    • La Rose is close to many tourist locations such as Futuroscope at Poitiers, the beautiful city of Cognac, Angouleme with it's mediaeval ramparts and the protected mediaeval village of Tusson. 
    There are facilities in nearby Ruffec for kayak and canoing. Ruffec has an array of restaurants and bars, as does the nearby town of Aigre.  
    The nearest golf facility is at Cognac, a 25 minute drive from La Rose. 
    The Charente is a colourful and vibrant area, awash with sunflowers during the summer months. La Rose is situated in the centre of a small village and is surrounded by woods and fields just waiting to be explored on foot or indeed by bicycle.

    A deposit of £200 is taken to secure the booking. The remainder to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. price includes bedding and kitchen linen but not towels. Payment is by way of cheque or bank transfer The price also includes cleaning of the gite at the end of the holiday. Guests are asked not to arrive on site before 4pm on day of arrival unless by prior agreement and to leave at the end of the stay by 10 am. this is to facilitate cleaning and preparation of the house for incoming guests.
