Our converted barn is set in the rolling countryside of South Charente, the Charente has its own Micro-climate and so enjoys some of the most reliably hot and sunny weather in France.We are situated close to the village of Yviers(10 min walk),with bar/restaurant and a 10min drive to the market town of Chalais.
The barn is all newly renovated , retaining the charm of the old building , pierre apparente walls ,original beams, but with all 'mod cons ' to make your stay as comfortable as possible,while enjoying the rural life.
Bed and Breakfast Rooms
Green Room
This ground floor room is a spacious triple en-suite,walk in hanging space,fans electric heating and lots of storage. A comfortable room which leads out into the summer lounge overlooking the gardens.
Garden Room
This double/triple room has french windows opening on to its own terrace,overlooking the gardens.A spacious and light room which also has its own entrance,making it a very private room.There is a separate shower room next door,electric heating,fans, dressing table ,plenty of drawer space and hanging space.A very pleasant room for your stay with us.
You can take your breakfast in the summer lounge,in your room or outside overlooking the gardens.
The Gite
Kitchen
Fully equipped with ample cutlery and utensils it has a central island gas cooker,large dresser,larder,dishwasher,microwave,washer,fridge/freezer,toaster,kettle,iron + ironing board, and dining area .French doors open onto the gardens and to the side is sheltered eating spot with barbeque and lighting.
Lounge
Relax in here,lots of room to spread out and chill out,french windows lead onto the secluded patio area with lighting ,or on a chilly night ,light the wood stove and relax on one of the sofas,where you could watch the sat/tv or settle down with a glass of wine and a dvd or video,we have lots to chose from.
The open stairs lead up to the two bedooms.
Bedroom one is a double,walk in hanging space,dressing table,drawers,bedside cabinets,fan,electric heating and beams, up here you are at the top of the barn in what was the hay loft ,what tales could those beams tell .Next door is your shower room.
Bedroom two is a triple ensuite .Again a beamed room ,two windows give you views towards the village and over the nieghbouring fields.Two wardobes,dressing table,chairs,bedside drawers and lots of space.The ensuite has a corner bath, ideal for relaxing.
Guests also have use of the adjoining mezzannine with library,pooltable and assorted games ,dvds+videos.
Whilst we do not have a no smoking policy we do ask guests not to smoke in the bedrooms.
Towels and linen are included(not towels for outside use).

Mid season 600 euros Mar,Apr,May,Jun.
High season 900 euros Jul,Aug,Sept.
A 25% non refundable deposit on booking
Balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival.
200 Euro deposit for breakages,returned in full if no breakages or damages occur.
Payment is prefered in Euros
