Vacation Rental Description
Montguyon and the surrounding area offer a great choice of restaurants, bars, shops, bakers, butchers and banks. On the outskirts of Montguyon there is a recreational lake (Beau Vallon), the water is very clean for swimming and boating. There is also a restaurant, snack bar and a children's play area.
Montguyon is ideally situated to explore the beauty of south west France.
In August there is a medieval celebration which is held every second weekend.
Close by there is a leisure park, "Le Paradou", at Parcoul, which is ideal for families. It boasts a beach lake with pedalo's, crazy golf, go- carting, trampolining, waterslide, billiards and table tennis to keep the kids happy and a bar and restaurant to keep the big kids happy. Admission is free.
Another local beach lake and restaurant at Guizengeard hosts jet skiing and Quad biking.
Chalais and Aubeterre Sur Dronne are both worth visiting. Aubeterre is one of the most beautiful villages in France.

Floodlit heated pool and terrace. Pool and garden furniture. Tyre swing in garden. Garage and ample parking space. Built in BBQ. Covered and uncovered terrace. Games room with table tennis, table football, tennis and badminton equipment, boules, a set of golf clubs and many garden games available.
Activities
Poitou-Charentes is one of the sunniest parts of the French western coast. A 300 mile-long coastline offers fine sandy beaches and is backed by fragrant pine forests.
Within a short drive of the world famous St Emilion château the region produces some of the best wines in France with the local 'producteurs' are only too pleased for you to visit and enjoy a tasting session. Cognac (an hour away) offers a further opportunity to sample local world famous brandy.
Also an hour away is Royan which has five beaches sheltered from the prevailing westerlies, ideal for bathers and all those who enjoy building sand castles - there is also an opportunity to enjoy the local fish restaurants and visit Royan's world famous Zoo.
Aubeterre Sur Dronne, which is a 40 minute drive away, is "one of the most beautiful villages in France". It has a vast Monolithic church carved into the cliffs.

25% of rental fee to secure the booking. Remainder of fee due 6 weeks before your stay. Refundable breakages deposit of £250 is required when remainder of fee is due. ( 6 weeks before stay) Weekly prices include:- Freshly laundered bed linen, towels for the villa and pool towels. A welcome pack on your arrival with all the basics and of course wine to kick start your holiday. Cots and high chairs can be made available on request at no extra charge. We can supply cot bedding, however, we realise you may prefer to bring your child's favourite blankets etc. We can accept payments by cheque in GBP and credit cards.

"Les Chênes" is the perfect getaway, set in it's own private gardens with heated pool.
Whether you are looking for a base for a wine tasting, cycling, painting, or sightseeing holiday, or for purely relaxing by the pool with a bottle of wine and a good book, this is the place to be.
Our home is fitted out to a very high standard. It has a games room for the children and sports equipment for the more energetic guests.
There are many wonderful places to visit such as the magnificent city of Bordeaux, the unique and beautiful towns of St.Emillion, Aubettere and La Rochelle.
Neareby there are lakes for Kayaking, canoeing and jet skiing, indoor swimming pools and health spas, and a motor racing track and quad biking track for the thrill seekers.
Our home gets booked up very quickly and we are delighted to see some guests book from one year to the next.
